Some fun awards for the entire Letterboxd Community to take part in, where we vote for the best films of 2023 using rules similar to the real Oscars. Previously known as "Letterboxd Does The Oscars". This first round is to vote for our nominees.

Instructions to vote:

1) You select your categories. Real Academy voters are limited to categories in their "branch", i.e. their profession. For our awards, you can vote in up to 16 categories: Picture, Director, Actor, Actress, Supporting Actor & Actress, Adapted & Original Screenplay, plus 8 other categories of your choice. This limit is used to help us focus on specialist categories we know the most about and reduce spam voting for popular films.

2) In Best Picture, you vote for up to 10 films. In every other category you vote for up to 5 films. You rank your choices in each category.

3) In most categories you can only vote for films eligible for the real Oscars. They are listed here. Some categories have exceptions, which are listed in the voting form.

4) Please like this list. These awards work best if there are a lot of votes, which means this list needs exposure.

A few days after Academy Award Nominations, I hope to reveal the nominees of the Letterboxd Oscars too. The votes will be counted using the Academy counting method.
