Welcome to 52 First Times!

I thought I'd try my hand at a curated year-long watch challenge - mainly to share with a few of my friends but anyone is welcome to take part! Once you put your list together, drop a link in the comments and I'll include it here.
For any reviews you log, the hashtag will be #52firsttimes should you wish to use it.

The main rules are as follows:

52 films in total, one for each week of the year, and every film must be something that you've never seen before (where possible). You may choose your own film for each week, and it can be from any genre (unless specified), as long as it fits the criteria! Speaking of which, here are all the specifics for 2026:

Week 1 (Jan 1-7) - a film directed by Wes Anderson.

Week 8 (Feb 19-25) - a film that was at somepoint, banned in the UK.
• Maniac (1981) •
Week 9 (Feb 26-Mar 4) - a film directed by Paul Verhoeven.
• Benedetta (2021) •
Week 10 (Mar 5-11) - a film adapted from a novel.
• Drive (2011) •
Week 11 (Mar 12-18) - a film that has won the "Best Picture" Oscar.

Week 12 (Mar 19-25) - a film that has won the "Worst Picture" Razzie.
