Honoring the films released in 2024, the 97th Academy Awards Ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 2, 2025. The ceremony was hosted by Conan O'Brien, directed by Hamish Hamilton, and produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan.
This year, wildfires in Southern California extended the initial nomination voting period. It also marked the first year of a live streaming broadcast of the ceremony. Sean Baker became the first person to win 4 awards for a single film in the same year.
