Hi everyone! I'm very excited to host this month's scavenger hunt! I started in March 2020 and I've been hooked ever since! With my prompts this month there isn't a giant overarching theme, just a lot of topics I'm interested in.
If for any reason you aren't able to do any prompt on the list, sub in any movie I've given 4 stars or higher.
For more information on scavenger hunts check out the master list. Here are the basic rules:
1. Make a list of 31 movies using the prompts you see below. Try to put at least 25 movies you haven't seen before on your list.
2. Post a link to your list in the comments.
3. Watch as many of the movies as you can during the month of August, in any order.
4. Try to review the movies you watch and mention that you watched them for the hunt. Remember to tag your list and your reviews with "Scavenger Hunt" and "Scavenger Hunt 65" to make it easier for other users to find them and interact with you.

Here are this month's prompts:
1. I love watching action movies from a certain era. Watch an action film from the '80s or the '90s.
2. You know how there's always that one movie you always say you'll watch but you never get around to? Watch one of the 20 films that have been on your watchlist the longest.
3. Holidays are a great way to get together with friends and family. Watch a film that is associated with any holiday.
4. There are many controversial directors out there who will make material you'll either love or hate. Watch a film from Lars von Trier, Gaspar Noé, Harmony Korine, or any other controversial director you can think of.
5. I love the MCU. Watch a non-MCU film directed by someone who has directed/will be directing a MCU film.
6. Some great directors make some films that aren't as well-received as others, but are still pretty great. Watch a film from a notable director that is in their bottom 5 films based on average rating.
7. I participate in the Fantasy Movie League community. Watch a film someone in Fantasy Movie League gave 5 stars.
8. While I love movies, I also love TV. Watch a film based on a TV show or a film that was turned into a TV show.
9. One of my favorite TV shows is Black Mirror. Watch a film that is directed by someone who directed an episode of Black Mirror or watch an anthology film.
10. Another TV show I love is Mr. Robot. Watch a film starring someone who stars in Mr. Robot.
11. I love a good satire. Watch a film that is satirical.
12. I also love neo-noir films. Watch a neo-noir film (here’s a list for help).
13. My favorite genre is horror. Watch one of the top 250 horror films.
14. I love music, and one of my favorite artists is Frank Ocean. Watch one of Frank Ocean’s favorite films.
15. Many musical artists have ventured into film. Watch a film that features a musician in an acting role.
16. I love animated films, especially ones that are more obscure. Watch an animated film that made less than $50 million worldwide.
17. I love exploring works from directors I've never seen before. Watch a film from a director where you have 0% of their works watched.
18. Watch a film from one of best working directors today in your opinion.
19. On the other hand, watch a film from one of the best directors that aren't working today in your opinion.
20. My favorite color is red. Watch a film that has the color red in its poster.
21. Watch a film with a title that has 6 words or more in it.
22. I love finding films from actors I love that aren't as popular. Watch a film with a notable actor that has under 10k watches.
23. Likewise, I love it when an actor is so invested in a project that they also produce. Watch a film where the lead actor is also credited as a producer.
24. My mom tells me to watch a bunch of movies that she loves. Watch a film that your mom (or another family member) loves that you haven't seen.
25. I love reading Roger Ebert’s movie reviews. Watch one of Roger Ebert’s “Great Movies”.
26. Go to a random number generator and generate a number from 80 to 180. Whatever number you get, find a film that is that many minutes long.
27. I always see a "watch one of my favorite films" category or "watch a film I gave 5 stars". I'm gonna mix that up a bit: Watch a film starring someone who stars in a film I gave 5 stars.
28. Watch a film that debuted at number one in the US box office.
29. Watch a comedy from the 1960s or earlier.
30. Watch any film that has a word related to driving in the title.
31. And finally, I’m a twin, so watch a movie that has twins in it.
