Who We Are
Bounce Health Innovation (Bounce) started in 2018, born out of the energy of a local Hacking Health event in Newfoundland and Labrador. What began with hackathons introducing new people to MedTech has grown into a province-wide effort to support and celebrate HealthTech innovation.
Today, we’re recognized across Atlantic Canada for helping HealthTech companies get started and grow. With a small but nimble team, we move quickly, work closely with our partners, and champion ideas that are shaping the future of healthcare.
Andy Fisher
Andy Fisher is a dynamic leader with over 25 years of experience spanning academia, entrepreneurship, and industry. His extensive experience includes guiding local companies through product and process development, mentoring startups, and driving innovation within the university and the local business community. As the Director of Bounce Health Innovation, Andy provides strategic advice and mentorship to accelerate the growth of the health innovation sector in Newfoundland and Labrador. His hands-on approach and significant track record in fostering innovation have led to numerous successful product launches and industry advancements.
Heather Kennery
Heather is strategic communicator with over a decade of experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, content strategy, event planning, and digital media. She thrives on guiding organizations through transformative change by crafting compelling stories, strengthening brand loyalty, and fostering engaged communities. A strong believer in collaboration over competition, Heather has channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into starting and growing multiple business in different sectors. As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, Heather spotlights the groundbreaking work of NL healthtech companies and the impact they are making on the future of healthcare.

Our Progress
In 2025, Bounce Health Innovation continued to build momentum across Newfoundland and Labrador’s healthtech sector. We supported a growing number of early-stage founders, strengthened access to expert guidance, expanded our national reach, and deepened connections across the ecosystem.
