It had a very intentional Zen atmosphere
It was a little far from Kyoto Station, and the restaurants were a bit spread out.
Style
Some of the reception staff is not fluent in English, but with some online translators it’s okay
It was nice and quiet. They held our bags for us whilst we were waiting for our bullet train
Not close to much, had to walk 20 minutes min to get anywhere

The staff was polite and spoke better English than we’ve experienced in most facilities in Japan. The public bath was nice.
The room was very small. We booked the room with the king size bed, but we didn’t expect it to have almost no floor space at all (very little floor space to walk on or to open our suitcases). The room was also very hot and very dark.
Generally very nice. Very clean, calm atmosphere, easy to navigate the hotel. Blackout curtains in the room are excellent, easy to control the AC, good sound deadening, nice high-pressure water in bathroom, comfortable beds. Reasonable, although not short, walk from the Kyoto train station. Good restaurants nearby.
Hotel restaurant food was unimpressive, hotel bar is QR code ordering which is annoying if you didn't bring your phone (as in, if you came from the basement baths). Staff didn't want to use the espresso machine in the morning for coffee (even after making it clear we'd pay for a cappucino), only wanted to use the drip carafes sitting on the bar buffet. Room had a nice large bed, but very little useable floor space off it and minimal storage: if you have a couple large bags there's nowhere to step around them.

El personal muy amable y el hotel es precioso.Me encantó.Camas muy cómodas. Si vuelvo a Kioto me volveré a quedar allí.
Si tuviera su decir lo que me gustó menos es que las habitaciones las encontré algo pequeñas por lo que resultaba un poco incómodo. Y se echa en falta algún saloncito común.
