We can’t wait to go back - amazing experience!!!
Pros:

My family and I considered this hotel one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. We enjoyed all the restaurants within the hotel (Japanese, French, and Italian) and really like the lounge.

I lived our stay and was very comfortable .
Pros:

The hotel was perfectly situated, we enjoyed the restaurant and hotel lounge. Our room was exceptionally well appointed and the large bath was wonderful addition to our room

Cons:

The gardens - I felt they look a little unkept but then I want sure if they were awaiting spring bulbs to pop up in the lawn .

Delightful boutique hotel near all the action
Pros:

Loved our experience at this delightful boutique hotel right in the middle of the Higashiyama district of Kyoto!

Our room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable after long days exploring Kyoto. The bathrooms were large with a beautiful bath and shower, and fully equipped with everything you might possibly need. The staff were all excellent at every step of the way — from the front desk to the servers to the porter. Everyone we encountered went out of their way to be helpful. The building (an old elementary school transformed into a hotel) was so charming. And while it’s in the middle of all the action it’s set back from the street, so it feels quiet and removed from the crowds.

One of my favorite parts of this hotel is the breakfast room (and at night, sushi bar), which is also an elegant library. You are free to borrow a book during your stay — you can bring it up to your room and simply leave it there when you check out. This was just an example of the small things that made the hotel feel special. There is also a comfortable lounge, with lovely views of the garden and pagoda, which offers complimentary drinks and small bites throughout the day. Tip: if you are taking a cab and arriving during peak hours, plan on extra time to get to the hotel as the crowds in the area are really something else. But once you step on to hotel grounds the energy becomes peaceful and serene.

Gorgeous hotel in a fabulous location in Kyoto!
Pros:

Awesome location with a beautiful room and a delicious breakfast. Loved the guest lounge with free food and drinks. Free Geisha show in the lounge was also a treat!

Cons:

My only complaint is that we could not use the private hot tubs without paying an additional fee.

素晴らしい京都の思い出を作ることができ、親孝行できました。
Pros:

両親の金婚式のお祝いで2日間、子供達5人で伺いましたが、お部屋、サービス、窓からのロケーション全て想像以上で素晴らしかったです。
ラウンジからの八坂の塔は絶景でしたし、ちょうどチェックインの日は舞妓さんの舞があり初めて拝見させていただきました。
お部屋もリビング付き、バルコニー付きのお部屋で、外に出るのが勿体無いぐらいでしたが、行きたい場車がたくさんあった為、部屋でゆっくり過ごすことができなかったのが、心残りです。
次回、京都に遊びにくる際も、ぜひ利用させていただきたいです。

Cons:

お部屋のコーヒーマシンに前回利用されたコーヒーの汚れが付着しておりました。

夜中の寝室の天井の音が気になり熟睡することができませんでした。
しかしお部屋があまりにも素晴らしかった為、変更してもらうより、夜中だけ我慢して滞在させていただきました。

A stunning and comfortable haven with exceptional service.
Pros:

It had a really relaxed feel in a hectic place. The service was exceptional - our tour/guide that we had had booked through Get Your Guide (activity provider being Best Trip to Kyoto) did not turn up and didn’t communicate with us. We felt very badly let down, but the hotel reception/concierge managed to book an alternative within an hour - who was frankly much better than the Get Your Guide options we had used in Tokyo. They saved the day for us! The lounge and service is generally excellent and the hotel is a haven after a busy day. The rooftop bar is also gorgeous with stunning views. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend the property - thank you to all the team there.

Cons:

Nothing really. The food is perhaps not as diverse for western tastes but the quality is excellent.

A high quality haven in a hectic destination!
Pros:

Everything - the hotel is a haven after a hectic day. The service is exceptional. Our tour guide/driver booked via Get Your Guide (provider being Best Trip to Kyoto) did not turn up as scheduled or communicate with us, so we were badly let down. The reception team/concierge organised a replacement for within an hour despite it being a bank holiday, who was frankly much better than the Get Your Guide options we had taken in Tokyo. They salvaged our day and stay in Kyoto. We cannot fault the hotel and its high spec, comfortable, with great quality food and exceptional service. Thank you!

Cons:

The food diversity may not suit all western tastes but it is delicious!
