Great location, set off the main drag so it worked great for me

Cons:

Unfortunately the hotel seems to have not thought about soundproofing when they built it.. lots of noise could be heard all night from a couple arguing to door slamming and weird white noise from somewhere below our room

Disappointed birthday boy as pool was out of service.
Pros:

Our room was clean and a nice size for a family of five. The staff were incredible and the breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

The pool and hot tub were out of service which was the reason we booked this hotel. The third party booking service didn’t have it on their website and even that day promoted the pool on site without notice the pool was out of service.

Pull out couch was the most uncomfortable bed.

AMAZING - but could have been more amazing with the pool!
Pros:

I loved my stay here. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beds were comfortable. The staff were accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The breakfasts in the mornings were great and the coffee 24/7 was AMAZING!!!!

Cons:

I was disappointed that the pool facilities were under construction while there. It would have been good to know prior to booking HOWEVER the hotel was very apologetic and given the chance, we would stay here again, ABSOLUTELY!

The location is fine.

Cons:

I travel frequently to Barrie and have stayed at this hotel before with no complaints. This time was different. Front desk staff confused by housekeeping. Housekeeping knocked on our door even though we had the DND sign out and told us we were supposed to be checking out, but we had 3 more nights there. Then we asked for a room clean and front desk staff said they would but then didn't saying they couldn't get around to it because they were busy, then they called us and said they didn't do it because we had a DND sign out, when we didn't at that point. They were rude about this when we tried to explain. Then the following morning housekeeping tried to come in at 9:30am when we were sleeping and we have no idea why. Breakfast was cold. Hair in shower not ours. Magnet not working on shower curtain so water goes everywhere so we had to put our towels there the whole time to sop it up. Sheets don't fit on mattresses. Pool under maintenance, not told at time of booking. Staff just said "sorry for your situation".

Does the trick if your doing a quick over night stay. Would not reccomend if you’re going for fun or comfort.
Pros:

Basically the only thing I likes about this property was the coffee in the lobby.

Cons:

First off the guy at the front desk was kind of rude.
Our room stunk of must or something, grossed me out.
Cracks and aged bathroom for sure needs some work.
We asked for an extra blanket and pillows for our kids and it took 2 texts, a phone call and 45 minute wait to get them.
Slept like crap (so did other guests that we ran into in the halls).
Breakfast was GROSS and I felt sick after.

It was a very pleasant experience.
Pros:

It was very clean and the staff was very nice.

Cons:

Some guests were very loud at night. Some people also left garbage by the pool, broken googles and coffee cups.

Clean, comfortable rooms overshadowed by slow service and disturbing security behavior.
Pros:

The room was clean and well-maintained. The beds were cozy.

Cons:

While the beds were comfortable and the room itself was clean, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service and an extremely uncomfortable encounter with security.

During our time in the pool area, the security guard stood watching us the entire time, which felt unnecessary and unsettling. When we returned to our room, he followed us down the hallway and later knocked on our door claiming our TV was too loud. He specifically said he could hear it with his ear up against the door, which only added to how inappropriate and disturbing the situation felt.

After that interaction, I had an awful night’s sleep. Every noise made me anxious, worried he would be back at the door again. We called the front desk to ask if there had been any noise complaints, and they told us there were none. When we explained how uncomfortable the situation had made us, we were told they would speak to him, but the damage was already done.

I truly don’t understand why our stay needed to be made so uncomfortable, especially since we were barely at the hotel and had plans for most of the day.

On top of that, check-in was frustrating. We were delayed and late for a reservation because only one person was actively helping guests at the desk while others stood by watching. This was particularly irritating since we already had to wait until 3 PM to check in.

Because of these issues, I would not choose to stay at this specific location again.

Very nice despite being there for a serious reason
Pros:

Lovely spread. Everything organized and clean with staff nearby to help.


I was really happy that when I told the staff that I was there because I've travelled from far to get my son's surgery and that the only reason I booked the hotel was because they had a pool, they worked hard to reopen the pool so we could have solid family time. I really was thankful and my son had a blast.

Cons:

I didn't like the peameal bacon as it wasn't cooked very well. It should have crispy edges and everything was soggy and un appealing.

The toilet ran from the time we got there and we had to keep working yo stop it from running. In the end, it ended up overflowing.

The beds and bedding were very uncomfortable.
