The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn is exceptional. Shayna Darrell and the rest of the staff are always friendly and helpful.
When my dog was sick( I had to put him down) Darrell and Shayna were so kind and understanding. Darrell helped take Bear out to the car because he could not stand up. The kindness shown by the staff at the Hilton is why I stay there for each visit. It is like visiting family when I stay at The Hilton Garden Inn in Frederick.
Beds weee great, water pressure was perfect
No complaints
Left to Sentimental piece of jewelry in the room and called for 3 days to talk to the housing manager with no response. Her voicemail box has been full for over a week and messages left with the front staff were never returned. Finally she called back to say they had not found the jewelry. I wonder if she'd looked the first day what the outcome would be. My hunch is somebody's wearing a nice piece of jewelry or they've already sold it but either way it was terrible customer service. I also tried calling the assistant general manager and her voicemail has been full for a week and you can't leave a message. On their website they talk about empowering their staff to fix problems but if you can't get a hold of them how is that going to happen. Very disappointing
Not trustworthy. We left a sentimental necklace in the room and after 3 days of calling the housing manager with no return call, she finally confirmed she knows nothing about it.
Location. Decent price. Cleanliness was good.
Needs refreshing. Poor shower. Spots on ceiling above bed. Felt old. Had to pay $3 for the bottled water in room. Really? Reception furniture was old and needs cleaning or replacement. Said restaurant was available but it wasn’t really a full restaurant just more a snack bar style.
Do not stay in this hotel. On Jan 12th 2026, All FOUR WHEELS AND TIRES WERE STOLEN from my car while parked right in front of the Hilton Garden Frederick MD. Hotel had no security camera covering the parking area.
Management ignored my calls and replied only when I sent them an email after I finally returned home. Management refused to address the theft, citing signage, despite this being an upscale Hilton hotel where guests expect safety. The management's dismissive attitude regarding this major theft is unacceptable, showing a complete disregard for guest safety and property.
I was left stranded and spent the good part of that day getting the Frederick police, coordinating the towing of my car and working with the collision shop.
There was a very nice woman at the front desk who tried so hard to help us after discovering that Booking.com had robbed us blind. Unfortunately, Booking.com does not allow the hotel any flexibility to do that. The hotel staff was very courteous.
My disappointment lies in Booking.com. Not so much the hotel. There was a very nice woman at the check-in desk who tried so hard to help us but was unable to because Booking.com does not allow the hotel that kind of flexibility. As if it's your hotel. You robbed us blind on the rate, charging me $62 more than the hotel's rate for our room. Who do you think you are?? You also mislead us on the size of the room. You did not allow the hotel to offer us an alternate room that we would be happy with b/c of Booking.com's restrictions. Know that my family and everyone I ever speak to in the future will never, EVER suggest or recommend using Booking.com. You are horrible, greedy and your only interest is in lining your pockets and not the satisfaction of your customers. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I dare you to post this review.
Great location and was very clean.
Insufficient lighting in the room. Only one side of the bed had light.
The bed was decently comfortable. The lobby is pretty.
The first day I ordered an omelet and it took the poor guy like 25 minutes to get it to me. He was very nice and trying very hard but I think there were too many people and only one cook. There was no hot shower on either morning. I was told after day one of this to let the water run longer before getting in. I did that but it still never got hot. Very disappointing-especially for such a relatively expensive place. Also, no one told me that for people only staying two days, no one cleans your room. To blame this on Covid 5 years after the fact is just ridiculous. You should tell people up front that if they want their room cleaned, they have to ask. This seems crazy to me 5 years post covid.
