Everything! From the staff who were extremely accommodating to the fantastic cocktails to the excellent food! The hotel itself gave a feel of grandeur with the old mixed with the new a wonderful mix of history from beginning to end we enjoyed every minute. It’s central to everything and its walkable to shops and other historic interests all in all it was amazing !
The bed was slightly uncomfortable but all in all it showed luxury even in the sheets
It’s like home from home

Location for the Bristol Hippodrome was excellent and the eateries in Corn Street. Also near the local waterways too.
Excellent placement for what we needed. Hotel was superb all facilities.
Hmm. Price but seems to be the going rate nowadays
Bar staff were excellent.
Check in was poor. Staff should remember that a computer is a tool and should not be used as a shield between the customer and them. Seagulls were nesting on the roof disturbing our sleep

Beautiful clean room. Friendly staff. Returned after 25 years. Still amazing.
£17 parking but that now seems the norm with City hotels now.
Lovely room with a walk in shower, everything was spotless. Couldn't fault the location, we came to Bristol to see The Greatest Showman at the Hippodrome, which was just across the road, about a 5 minute walk, if that.
There was nothing to dislike.
Location
Continental breakfast was poor. No muesli, bran still in variety packaging, no nuts, pastry selection poor.
Mentioned to staff at breakfast and they did not seem to be bothered.
Room was nice, well provisioned with tea/coffee etc. Furnishings of hotel and room all very nice. Location was particularly handy for both my business needs and to local pubs/restaurants etc.
There was no shower gel left in the dispenser. Naturally, already being in the shower when I discovered this, it was much to late to do anything about this so I had to resort to washing with shampoo, this was particularly frustrating. I stood waiting for 5 minutes to be sat at a table for my pre-paid breakfast, before deciding to simply walk in and sort myself out, no interaction with staff. Tea/Coffee were unavailable at a glance, I can only assume you get these if you are attended by a member of staff.

Rooms need to mirror the luxury of the rest of the hotel. Adding a luxury throw to the beds would help or a rug
The building
Room was dark, the light table did not work. The most disappointing thing is breakfast, despite being included u still have to pay for a hot choccolate or a cappuccino. Also the personal at the breakfast room was dismissive.
The family room was an excellent size and exceptional value for an overnight stay in a city. We were visiting the Bristol Hippodrome Theatre and it was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Check in was straight forward and it was nice having a restaurant onsite that we used for our evening meal.
The only thing I could possibly suggest is better signage for the entrance to the car park.
