Has your character met Black Bolt? Have I managed to miss that issue? TELL ME HERE, I'LL LOVE YOU FOREVER. Otherwise I'm assuming that Black Bolt at least knows of all the big Marvel names, what with his ~secret society connections~ and being a king and all, but there are probably a lot of mutants/heroes that have slipped under his radar.

So, IF YOU WOULDN'T MIND:
How did they meet/what did they do?
Do you remember which issue it was?
On what terms did they part?

THAT SHOULD ABOUT DO IT... feel free to tell me anything else if you think of it, though! I am all ears. Eyes. Fingers. what a horrifying mental image.

SO! Marvel Zombies! Have you read them? (There's a torrent right here if you haven't but want to.) In essence, they're cool. Basically, everyone turns into a zombie. We decided that'd be a pretty swell group loss! And before I go any further, to save your time, I'll say that we're looking to do this mid January, say the 15th-22nd. IS THAT COOL?? If you don't have time or you don't want to get involved, you can pretty much stop reading now and I won't judge you. Probably. The rest is details for if you ARE interested!

OKAY SO MARVEL ZOMBIES. Sorry if you've read them already and know what they're about. You can skip to the next paragraph. BUT FOR ANYONE THAT HASN'T, they're 100% sentient, and it takes anywhere from a few seconds to turn once they've been bitten, to an hour or so. They're still the same people, only all of the sudden they want to eat everything that's not a zombie. (Eating a zombie tastes terrible and makes them barf like college frat boys.) They might feel terrible about doing it, but the hunger is strong enough that even Captain America tosses aside his morals and chows down. After they've just eaten they regain a little more sense and are most like themselves again, until the hunger next kicks in. BUT! If they can go long enough without eating someone (and this is always due to being restrained or incapacitated or whatever, willpower isn't enough), then the hunger fades permanently and they're not cray-cray anymore. (Some panels on this subject, courtesy of Em! (1), (2).) Unless they accidentally taste someone, then they're right back in square one again. And the next best part: DAMAGE! They can take any amount of damage and keep on truckin'. Lost your leg? Limp on, gimpy! Disemboweled? You weren't really using those organs anyway! Beheaded? PULL YOURSELF ALONG WITH YOUR TEETH AND KEEP ON EATING. Also, healing factors don't work anymore, so whatever crazy injuries they get they keep. Forever. Unless they make robotic spare parts.

How do catch this nifty infection, you ask? Blame the Spiders. Peter and Jessica will start us off! They'll be the original zombies, and we can either thread or handwave them biting your character(s) — whatever everyone has time for.

And of course, what's a zombie without its victims? We were talking about having OOC signups for non-Marvel people who want their characters to be zombie'd (or just plain eaten, if it gets to it), and Jenn suggested no more than 10 for catching the zombiegerms, so it doesn't get too big. Otherwise, we'll just assume they're killing townie NPCs. Does 10 people signed up to be fellow zombies sound okay to you guys? And, of course, we'll need people interested in taking them down/restraining them. After the loss is over, people will suddenly find themselves entirely human again. Dead people are still dead, but any damage done to our lovely zombies is repaired. And yes, all of this is mod-approved.

And as for timeframe: it seems like it would only take about 3 days for other characters to realize that HEY WAIT PEOPLE ARE EATING BRAINS AROUND HERE, decide to do something about it, and then get around to killing/restraining/whatever the zombies. The rest of the time can be played out as in captivity, post-zombie-crisis, slowly getting over the hunger. We can make that anywhere from 1 day to 4 days (to keep it at a week).

SO! Any questions? Comments? Something about this idea sucks and could be way cooler? You have a better idea for when it could happen? Want to set up how Peter/Jessica/someone they bit gets to your character? FEEL FREE TO SPAM AWAY, MY BROS.

If you need me, I'm on AIM at 'the p0rn nun', or you can just hit up this post with any questions!
