Here is the result of my Twin Peaks obsession of many years: a compilation of theories, thoughts, and interpretations, which I kept written inside a personal notebook until now. This blog aims to provide all readers with a more complete understanding of Mark Frost and David Lynch’s masterpiece, with a particular focus on The Return. Spoilers abound.

I have tried my best to remain unbiased, and present as many different viewpoints on each subject as I can; I don’t believe there can be a single “correct” interpretation of Twin Peaks, so this blog will constantly contradict itself, and, at the end of it all, will barely have scratched the surface. As much as I enjoy dissecting Twin Peaks, I must note that the best way to understand it is through sheer feeling. No amount of words written in any blog can substitute the experience of watching the series and coming to one’s own conclusions about it.

This blog’s entries are sequenced roughly according to narrative order, but you can skim through them and read whichever ones interest you. Only some of the thoughts you will read are my own; many are things I’ve read or heard, and noted down, in my experience as an online Twin Peaks fan; I have tried to include sources where I can.

This entire project is dedicated to the memory of David Lynch; his passing was anounced just as I was compiling this. Words aren’t enough to explain the impact he had on me; I hope this project will convey that.
