Who is Bloom Institute?
Hi there! We foster curiosity and encourage students to explore a wide variety of specialized subjects. Short and sweet, we make courses for young students, but we're hosting a summer hackathon / entrepreneurial competition that's open for high schoolers!

Judging Criteria
-
Presentation
How professional is your video (smooth audio, clear video, transitions? Is your voice clear, do you use hand motions, are you maintaining eye contact (not reading off a script)? Are your slides professional (color palette, images, text)? -
Technology
How is technology used in the presentation of your product? Were there many parts to the technical process or one complex one? Your project does not need to work (prototypes are allowed), but if it does, that's a bonus! -
Design
How well is design utilized? Does the product look appealing? Is it well on its way to being marketed for a large audience? This can include UI, website design, presentation decks, etc! -
Uniqueness
How original is the project? Many grand ideas have been done before, and your project may unknowingly be unoriginal, so we will be judging on the merit of the product. However, if your project is very unique, then that's a bonus as well! -
Future Merit
Will this product be marketable in a year? 5 years? Will it uphold its possibilities in an entreprenurial setting? -
Impact
How many people could your product affect in a positive way? Is it resourceful or useful in the political or social climate of the world? What could it do for your community?
