About

We are a group of outreach specialists, librarians, managers, and support staff dedicated to bringing outreach services to meet the unique needs of each of our libraries populations. We meet to share programming ideas, marketing tips, and ways to partner with community organizations. We promote and advocate for outreach as an essential library service. Whether you use a bookmobile, library van, or your personal car to reach your patrons, this group has something of interest to anyone working in outreach.

Bookmobile and Library Outreach Networking Group is supported by our local state library system, Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS).

Meetings are held on Fridays from 10 am – Noon 4 times a year at different area library locations in the Midwest-Illinois area. Dates and meeting locations are announced by the January of each new year.
