Hi,

I’m Fiona Sheriff, I’m a Head of Geography in Northamptonshire. I have previously held the posts of Head of House, Head of Year, Deputy Head of Humanities and Lead Practitioner. Now I am returning to my roots and focusing on improving our Geography curriculum. I have worked in 5 schools across 2 counties, and have lived in Northamptonshire since 2015.

I a big advocate of the geography subject associations – the RGS and the GA. From September 2025 I took up the post of Vice President of the GA, and from September 2026 I will be President of the Geographical Association. I am also an award holder from both the GA and the RGS.

I’ve neglected this blog for a few years now, but I want to get back into writing. Hopefully I’ll be able to write about our journey in transforming our Geography curriculum.
