      I’m still working on that album, and here’s the puppet I built to prove it. The two things will come together at some point, I assure you.

      The album explores various types of EDM – from happy hardcore to industrial. Many SynthV voices are featured on this album, but one voice in particular is the star, as pictured above. She has a thing for all things retro and vintage. One of the songs I made with her back in 2021 is a demo now – it’ll appear on the album completely remade. If you know, you know.

      Ironically, even though the album is about the internet, I haven’t been online quite as much. It’s been months since I’ve updated my website or my blog, and social media is of little interest to me. Don’t get me wrong, I love the indie web revival, and I do intend to come back to my website and Neocities, but focusing on creatives projects – like this new album and puppet making – and doing in-person events have been very fulfilling. I’ll get back into updating my website and sharing things online eventually. Hopefully, with enough of our push-back, the internet won’t continue to deteriorate, but we’ll see.

      It’s been a while. I’ve been quite busy doing many things, amongst them production of a new album. I’m taking my time with this one, so I don’t expect to be finished within this year. I’m trying many new things this time around.

      I’ve been going around to thrift stores and antique shops picking up CDs of music I’ve never heard before. Some finds don’t really appeal to me, others have been an absolute delight. Maybe I’ll share some of my findings at the end of the month. Or maybe I’ll do another round of “The February Files” or “March Music Madness” for whatever month it lands on and sample music from the CDs I like into a beat. Maybe. We’ll see. :0)

    • Extending the break

      I was hoping to pick Crucero Plaza back up in July, but that’ll have to change! I have an event to attend in September and a deadline to meet for a new project by then. As much as I’d like to occupy myself with two projects at once, I’m only really capable of doing one thing at a time.

      The Lagoon Saloon and all of its treacherous passages will have to wait, so Crucero Plaza will remain on an ominous cliffhanger for just a bit longer …

      After this update, Crucero Plaza is going to go on a break. It’s summer and I want to relax for a bit. :0) Updates will resume in July, with a new update schedule.

      Libera keeps trying to look back to understand why this is all happening. Sometimes making friends feels so easy, and then other times it feels like you have to learn how to do it all over again.

      Even with Libera’s impolite, quizzical staring a new friendship is made! Now how could this be?

      If anyone is interested in getting news for Crucero Plaza elsewhere, I’ve also made a Tumblr blog for updates. (Yes, I’m pretty sure some people still use it!) I also post about updates on Bluesky, although that’s also mixed in with some of my other stuff as well. I might post elsewhere in the future, we’ll see.
