AppStudio 9.3.2 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.3.2 has been released.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. Deploy to FTP Server: SFTP module rewritten – old one was obsolete
  2. VoltBuilder: androidSigningVersion added to VoltBuilder Properties
  3. Samples: Added a SQLiteMadeSimple app to go with wiki article.
  4. Samples: Removed Pic2Shop – no longer supported
  5. Updated numerous libraries

We’ve completely rewritten Deploy to SFTP servers. If you deploy to your own server, this could affect you. The library we were using was no longer supported: we are now using the latest SFTP modules. However, we recognize that SFTP support on other systems may not be up to date. Please test uploading to your own site and let us know if you see any issues.

AppStudio 9.3.1 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.3.1 has been released.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. Code Window: line number column width is now calculated using font size
  2. IDE: On Mac, no longer crashes if resolution changes or moved to a second screen
  3. Electron: various build problems resolved
  4. Electron: Updated to use latest libraries
  5. wxPython: Major component of AppStudio updated from 4.2.3 to 4.2.4

iOS 26 and MacOS 26

Apple has released iOS 26 and MacOS 26 – your devices can now be updated.

We’ve been using the new versions in house for a few weeks. So far, we have not run into any difficulties.

AppStudio runs properly on MacOS 26. The only tweak we will make is to the app’s icon: its appearance can be improved. This will be in the next build.

We’re not seeing any significant changes with AppStudio generated apps when running on iOS 26. Both web apps and native apps run well.

AppStudio 9.2.2 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.2.2 has been released.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. BS5 Input and Input-group: Add new marginBottom property.
  2. BS5 OffCanvas: don’t show on launch
  3. BS5 OffCanvas: footer positioning is correct on redisplay
  4. BS5 OffCanvas: header, value and footer can be changed at run time
  5. EULA: No longer interferes with SQLite import at startup
  6. SignaturePad: Library updated to 5.0.10
  7. ChatGPT: Improve output formatting

AppStudio 9.2.0 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.2.0 has been released.

It introduces ChatGPT 5, plus improved answer formatting and smarter use of AppStudio docs.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. ChatGPT: Engine updated to ChatGPT 5
  2. ChatGPT: Results are now formatted as HTML
  3. ChatGPT: Results are now AppStudio specific (uses AppStudio Wiki, etc.)
  4. Electron: responseHeaders supplied.
  5. Electron: SQLite WASM support improved.
  6. BS5 Alert: Value can now be set if Alert is dismissible.
  7. BS5 RadioButton: Added appearance property
  8. BS5 Select: Sample updated.
  9. Windows: Icon in Task Bar now appears properly.
  10. VoltServer: Upload from MacOS fixed.
  11. Project Properties: New lang property sets the default language for the page.

AppStudio 9.1.7 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.1.7 has been released.

It fixes a couple of issues, as well as providing many updates to libraries and components.

AppStudio 9.1.6 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.1.6 has been released.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. BS5 Navs: items in list can now be links
  2. Code Window: Go to function def search issue fixed.
  3. VoltBuilder: Checking status when no job is running fixed.
  4. PhoneGap: no longer supported. Dead code removed.
  5. IDE: external links to http updated to https.

AppStudio 9.1.3 released!

We’re pleased to announce that 9.1.3 has been released.

Here’s the complete list of changes:

  1. Startup: Splash screen added to startup.
  2. Registration: Text adjusted to fit in button.
  3. Copyright updated to 2025.
  4. Wiki: Offline wiki updated with changes already in the online wiki.
  5. Libraries: various libs updated

The new startup screen should improve the startup experience, especially the first time AppStudio is started.
