Hey Mobile and Eclipse Enthusiasts,

As the Blinki mobile project gains steam with more contributions and excitement grows about the mobile possibilities that will be available to software developers, we wanted to keep you up to date and let you know that the Eclipse Foundation is now equipping the network to provide the necessary services to support Blinki’s growth.

As part of that process a new newsgroup has been formed that replaces the proposal–phase eclipse.firefly newsgroup.

Please find the new Blinki newsgroup here: http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/thread.php?group=eclipse.blinki

If you have any questions feel free to leave us a comment, we’ll get back to you.

Thanks and have a great day.

If you are attending EclipseCon ’09 mark your calendar for the following mobile web events:

The BOF “The Eclipse Blinki (FireFly) Project and the Future of the Mobile Web“.

An overview presentation by Wayne Parrott of the new Blinki mobile web project and a demo of some WebKit based mobile web developer tools.

Stop by the Genuitec vendor booth for some one-on-one discussions with the Blinki team about how we plan to use WebKit as a platform and some demos of on-going work.

The FireFly project has been renamed “Blinki.”

The creation review is set for March 18th (in just a few days), so take a peek.

All feedback/conversation is appreciated in the newsgroup.
