Blackmagic Disk Speed Test 3.4

Blackmagic Disk Speed Test is a straightforward macOS utility for measuring the sustained read and write performance of your storage. Built with video workflows in mind, it helps you quickly determine whether a drive can handle common editing codecs, resolutions, and frame rates.

Select a target disk and start the test to see real-time throughput in MB/s, along with an easy-to-read indicator of which video formats your storage can support. It’s ideal for validating external SSDs and HDDs, checking RAID arrays, testing memory cards, and diagnosing performance bottlenecks over USB-C or Thunderbolt connections.

Note: Disk Speed Test focuses on sequential performance (most relevant to video capture and playback) and is not intended to measure random I/O or latency.
