Baseball Announces 2022 Schedule

Minutemen open up campaign on March 4-6 at Georgetown.
AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts baseball and head coach Matt Reynolds unveiled the team's 2022 regular season schedule on Saturday afternoon. A 50-game slate sits ahead for the Minutemen, who open the year with a three-game series at Georgetown University from March 4-6.
After the season-opener series, Massachusetts will face in-state rival Northeastern on the road on March 8. From there, UMass will head to the USA Baseball Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina, for a neutral site three-game series versus Penn State (March 11-13), before making two stops in Maryland to compete at Navy (March 15) and UMBC (March 16). On March 18-20, a trip to Fairleigh Dickinson will be on the docket to close out the Minutemen's road stretch. UMass will play its home opener on March 22, facing Holy Cross. The month of March will end with four more road contests, with three at Towson (March 25-27) and one at Albany (March 29).
The Minutemen will highlight April with 11 games at Earl Lorden Field, beginning on April 1-3 when Atlantic 10 Conference play opens, welcoming Saint Joseph's first, and Fordham for their next three-game series (Apr. 8-10). UMass will play three non-conference contests versus UMass Lowell (Apr. 13), Sacred Heart (Apr. 20) and Hartford (Apr. 26), before jumping back into league play on April 29-30, hosting George Mason. The road series in the month will see trips to A-10 rival Rhode Island (Apr. 15-17), UConn (Apr. 19), A-10 opponent Dayton (Apr. 22-24) and Siena (Apr. 27). UMass will have two neutral site contests with the Beanpot Championships on April 5 and April 12.
On May 1, Massachusetts will wrap up play with George Mason, playing its final game of three-contest series. UMass will hit the road for four games, one at Fairfield (May 3) and three A-10 conference games at Davidson (May 6-8). The Minutemen return to Earl Lorden for three against VCU (May 13-15), before hosting Quinnipiac for Senior Day on May 17. UMass caps the season with a three-day trip to George Washington on May 19-21 to round out league play.
