BIO4 CAMPUS DATASHEET

Gross construction area: cca 165.000 square meters in Phase A1 (faculties, science institutes, Science and Technology park + sports, and central Minglarium building).
Total investment in construction and equipment: around 500 million Euros in phases A1 and A2 (buildings seen on renders).
Sources of funding: Government of Serbia financial and in-kind contribution, CEB loan 200 million euros, EBRD loan 10 million euros and Saudi Fund for Development loan 65 million US dollars. Additional loans and grants are expected.
Approximate number of tenants: around 1.400 professors and researchers and around 4.000 students, plus companies and visitors. More than 1.000 PhDs will work on BIO4 Campus.
Scientific equipment: Eight Core Facilities and more than 300 research labs in total will be located within the BIO4 Campus. Investment in equipment is planned at cca 100 million Euros.
Timeline: Construction commenced in December 2023, and tenants will occupy the facilities during 2027 and 2028.
Phase A2 envisions buildings for companies and accomodation (shown in renders). Call for tenants’ expression of interest is active (see frontpage).
Phase B envisions construction in the surrounding area across the street, after the Pharmaceutical Faculty is relocated into their new building.
