Special Affairs Team Ten

Stars Joo Sang-Wook, Kim Sang-Ho, Jo An and Choi Woo-Sik. bit

This Kdrama is a must watch! Especially for those who's a Detective/Mystery/Crime drama fan. It's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The first episode will pull you in and make it one of your top 10 favourite dramas of all time, and one of the top few detective dramas. I've watched a whole load of Japanese detective dramas, and I'd say this Korean one top all of them. It has the most complicated cases I've ever seen amd that's partly what makes it so awesome.

This drama is pretty serious with a bit of humour added. I'd say for a detective genre, this would be my top Kdrama, and Tokyo Dogs and Kindaichi for top Jdrama.

First episode reminded me a little of CSI. And you'll also wonder who the screen writer is. And I admire the writer Lee Jae-Gon for writing this amazing and unique drama. Seriously, every single case is written so brilliantly. Kudos to him! The way it's filmed is also pretty good. Especially Ep 8 where it shows each detective's past. I really like Park Min-Ho's (Woo-Sik) past and the way it's shown. Together with the theme song, it made his story seemed epic. In the end, all 4 detectives were somehow linked together, or at least crossed paths before.

Throughout the drama, I was hoping that they would focus more on Min-Ho since they've been showing more of the other 3 characters. But at least we see him riding his motorbike. So cool. Hope that in Season 2, they'll show more of him in action and his relevance in the cases.

The plot is written very well. It's complicated and sometimes it gets confusing since there are many twists and turns. Usually in detective dramas, you get to guess who the murderer is correctly, but in this drama, it's hard to get it right or that you won't have a clue at all, plus you won't know the real reason for the murders until they've solved the case. Of course, there are times when you'll probably guess correctly on what's going to happen, and when your prediction of what's going to happen, who the murderer is or what they'll say next, is correct, you'll be pointing fingers at the screen and yelling "I knew it! i totally knew it!" Because you won't get it right most of the time.

It can get a little confusing though, if you're not very used to Korean names and especially when the case is really complicated or have several names involved. Halfway through I'm like 'who's that again?' I usually watch Japanese dramas, but started trying Korean shows and watching this when I've no Jdramas to watch. This is one drama that won't bore you.

The actors, both young and old including kids, acted very very well and impressed me several times. That's already evident in episode 1. Plus, that episode is the longest episode and one of the most epic, which made me love this drama immediately and know that it'll be a brilliant one.

Currently watching Season 2, still ongoing. ^.^ The 1st two episodes continue from Season 1. Usually, cases like this would finish up with questions answered and ending the case. So it was a surprise to me on how it ended up. The later episodes are still as good.

The music they use is also unique and different from the norm and suits the mood of the drama really well. Love Season 1's song.
Season 1: Mad Soul Child- Breath (숨결)

Season 2: Nan Ah Jin (난아진)- Chase

Mentioning K detective dramas, I shall recommend the few that I've ventured and watched.

Hayato Ichihara

The Brothers Karamazov: A greedy and violent father is murdered in his own home. 3 sons: oldest son Mitsuru (Takumi Saito), second son Isao (Hayato Ichihara) and youngest son Ryo (Kento Hayashi) are suspected of murdering their own father.

First of all, this drama is good! It's dark and has a good mysterious feel to it. It keeps audience wondering whether the brothers were really the murderers, whether it was solo or did they work together to commit the crime. Well, I actually guessed the murderer correctly, but throughout the drama, I did keep wondering if I was right. Maybe it was just a feeling/hunch, but I believed that neither of them was the culprit. Overall, it's a good drama with fantastic acting and throughout the whole thing, you'll keep thinking how cruel and horrid the father is and feel for the brothers.

While watching this drama, I couldn't stop staring and wondering who was acting as the second brother. Found him really good in acting, really good looking and familiar like I've seen him in some drama. And viola! It's Hayato Ichihara!

I couldn't recognise him because he looks really different in the BrothersK. His face looks slimer and sharper, and his hairstyle makes him look fresher and smarter like his lawyer character in the drama. I love his eyes which always looks so intense. And his voice! He has the sexiest voice I've ever heard. Even when he's talking normally, even a single, simple word, he makes it sound so effortlessly sexy. It's just his incredible natural voice.

He was in Saru Lock as the perverted locksmith.

He was also in the awesome drama and movie: Rookies. The SP is so so so so so good!! I really really love it! It's touching, really intense and exciting, funny and it has a happy ending!

And then, I started watching DOG x POLICE: The K-9 Force, which is an awesome movie about those in the Police department who are trainers for police dogs. Stars Toda Erika too. And the dogs! The dogs! I love Shiro, his White Sherpherd dog that turned out to be the best sniffer. Gosh, i love this movie!

I watched 700 Days of Battle: Us vs. the Police and love it within seconds too. It's plain hilarious and fun to watch and you'll wish you're in the movie with the group of pranksters. Enjoyed every minute of it. It's set in 1979 where a group of troublemaking teenagers decide to prank Chuzai-san, the stiff local police officer. It's worth watching this and I highly recommend it!

I'm waiting for A Tree In The Sun/ Hidamari no Ki to appear in the net for me to watch, subtitles and all. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Not sure if it's nice to watch, but I wana try it out since Hayato stars with Hiroki Narimiya. :D

Anyway, I'll be looking out for more of Hayato's shows in the future. I'd be surprised if he's not popular in Japan...

Rich Man Poor Woman Drama

This is one drama that's gone into my Favourites list. The plot is amazing, creative, unique and smart and the characters are smart, cute and adorable. I mean, even the company name 'Next Innovation' sounds so smart and I like the concept of it.

The acting and chemistry between the two main characters- Oguri Shun and Ishihara Satomi- is so good that I find myself laughing with glee whenever they do something cute. Or just wanting to hit them on their heads when they start doing something incredible stupid. Satomi is incredibly cute and I find myself really liking her and her acting. She's adorably cute in a non-annoying way and I think she's just amazing.

The SP continues on back and forth from New York to Japan. It touches a little more on the romance part and they got another kiss at the end. It's this SP that made me squeal more for them especially the ending scenes at the cafe and I just thought, 'cuteness overload!'

I couldn't help but get the soundtrack especially when it's uploaded on Youtube. The whole soundtrack just sounds so amazing and totally suits the drama. The opening song is by Miwa- Hikari e. miwa- hikari e download mp3

Other of her songs featured is Napa and Delight. And while getting those songs, I came across another amazing song of hers- 'Sparrow'. Btw, she's also the one who sang one of Bleach's songs- Change.

I'll definitely recommend this drama and it'll probably come up second after Tokyo Dogs. Tokyo Dogs is just one that I can never forget cos it's so cleverly funny and ridiculous and entertaining and just plain awesome, especially when their theme song's Exile- ふたつの唇.

Arashi's latest songs

Just found out about Arashi's song 'Calling/Breathless'.

Really really love it! Saw the PV for it and it's not bad. Sounds super cool.
Anyway, love Aiba's dancing! The way he dances looks really nice, since he looks like he puts a lot of energy in his moves. I'm always watching his dancing and he never fails to impress me. To me, he's the best dancer in Arashi. And I love his husky voice! :D

Also, currently watching Sho's drama- Kazoku Game, also known as The Family Game. Starring Sho, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Seishuu Uragami, Itsuji Itao, Honami Suzuki, Shiori Kutsuna among others.

It's a pretty unique drama, not your everyday kind of thing, with a tad of mystery which makes you wana watch it to know what's going to happen on the next episode. Well Sho and Kamiki never fail to impress me in their acting. They always seem to act as weird/disturbed characters, which makes it all the more cool. Sho's acting is so good!! Always love watching him acting craze and weird.

Noted Seishuu Uragami's acting too. He's 14 yrs old and his acting is amazing!

This drama also made me fall in love with their latest single- Endless Game. Gosh really really nice song. Esp love the chorus a lot! so catchy.

Arashi's drama songs are getting really good, like 'Face Down', 'Your Eyes' and 'Wild at Heart'. So far the PV for Face Down is one that I like the most.
