Five
1. I get to see my nephew tomorrow!
2. Enjoying thinking about making the baby a little area that is hers in my apartment where she can play.
3. That she comes to me actually seeking out interactions and affection now. Blessed be--that did take awhile.
4. Jeff-a source of endless entertainment:
"Ive decided I'm going to kayak to law school. I'm really pretty good at it, so why not?"
"I had a moment with Olivia last week. This is hard to explain, but I was laying on the floor, giving her some bamba. She had one in each fist and she was getting crumbs all over my new shirt and I admit it, I was getting frustrated with her. She wanted ANOTHER bamba. I said "no, Olivia, eat what you have and then you can have another!" I started trying to brush the crumbs off my shirt. And then with both fists full of bamba, she started brushing my shirt, too, trying to help. And it was like-like I don't know, like I knew fundamentally, she was trying to help and so innocent of whatever that might mean. I just melted and realized this is what it means to be a parent and a Dad. The shirt didn't mean anything."
"I am going to miss spending time with you all when I'm in law school."
Me="We know where you sleep." :)
5. And my other son, Austin, also a source of amusement:
"I've decided to try seeing how Daddy lives. My whole adult life, I've been following Momma's patterns. Now I'll see how doing what Daddy does works out."
I'm like, "If you don't know already, then you're not as observant as I believe you are."
LOL

1. Delightful day yesterday with Lesley. Walk in the woods, picnic by the Carbon River. A new place of beauty I had never been.
2. Only 3 days to finish off the week.
3. "So we took our daughter to Disney World and everyone was quick to tell us that was a mistake. 'You should wait until she's older and can remember things.' My thought was, 'Hey, what am I supposed to do? Lock her in a closet and tell her 'you can come out when you start remembering things?' Uh, she loves Minnie Mouse and if she loves Minnie Mouse then she can love Minnie Mouse right now. Remembering it isn't the most important thing."
4. Thinking about Stehekin.
5. Arlene called me the other day, which was nice of her :)

1. Wisdom from only half way up the mountain.
2. The explosive amount of energy I see in Olivia as she tries to play ball with her kitty, Ninja. Amazing. I don't know that I ever remember feeling that way. Like ever.
3. A long errand list. If I get all this done, that would be cool.
4. I'm doing gratitudes on Saturday.
5. My brother, Dennis. He has always tried to be there for me, even when he was irritated with me.
And 6. House of Cards. Holy crap, and I thought it couldn't surprise me because of Trump. I was wrooooong.
