A Legacy Built on Experience, Defined by Execution
Rooted In Experience That Shapes How We Build Today
Founded in 1984 by Mark Anderson, Benchmark General Contractors was built on a foundation of hands-on experience and a thorough understanding of Southwest Florida’s construction industry. That deeply rooted expertise continues to shape how we operate today, bringing a level of foresight and proficiency that only comes from decades of expert knowledge in this coastal region.
In 2021, Brad Nickel stepped into leadership, building on that strong foundation with a clear vision for the future. After years of leading large-scale healthcare and commercial construction projects across Florida, Brad and his family chose to invest in a company and community where they could put down roots. That commitment carries through how the Benchmark team approaches every project: focusing not just on delivery, but on building and restoring spaces that support how our neighbors live and work.
A Structured Approach With Proven Results
Every Benchmark project follows a clear, strategic
process from preconstruction through completion.
We begin by understanding your goals and aligning scope, budget, and timeline before construction even begins. Throughout the build, our team maintains a hands-on, transparent approach, coordinating every detail to ensure efficiency and quality. The result is a streamlined experience that minimizes uncertainty and delivers a finished product that reflects your vision with benchmark precision.
Built By People Who Set the Standard
Our team brings together experienced construction professionals who share a commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement — ensuring every project meets the Benchmark standard.
