Study as Mission

What unites these Jesuits in their quest?

Saint Ignatius Loyola paved a path to God that has opened countless roads toward universal salvation. Through our studies, we continue to forge new trails for humanity, guiding every soul in our shared pursuit of God.

Our mission goes beyond academic acclaim. We believe that our work in theology and the humanities can prepare future generations to find life’s true meaning and their ultimate dignity.

The proper fruit of the Spirit in students comes from the studies themselves, directed toward the end of the Society. For our end, situated as it is in the fire of divine love, ought to inflame all studies. Hence, the exercise of study should release an enormous thrust toward the salvation of the world.

When home becomes a journey

Located in the heart of Rome, our Jesuit house of studies is at the hub of all ecclesial roads. As we hear the Word, break bread together, and share our dreams, our studies become a pilgrimage of the heart. Each dialogue, every meal, and every gathering transforms into an adventure, connecting us to the world, the Body of Christ.

Take, Lord, and receive all my liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my entire will, all that I have and possess. Thou hast given all to me. To Thee, O Lord, I return it. All is Thine, dispose of it wholly according to Thy will. Give me Thy love and Thy grace, for this is sufficient for me. Amen.

St Ignatius Loyola

Because all our roads lead to Rome

In response to the globalization of superficiality, we need to study the emerging cultural world more deeply and find creative ways of promoting depth of thought and imagination, a depth that is transformative of the person.
