Showcasing the Beef Industry

Showcasing the best beef cattle the nation has to offer is the heart of Beef Australia. The event provides a platform for all aspects of the beef community to be acknowledged and recognised globally at the largest beef event in the Southern hemisphere.

National standards are benchmarked through the Beef Australia Stud, Carcase and Commercial Cattle Competitions, with participation coming from all over Australia. The national cattle and carcase competitions each represent the pinnacle of successful achievement in their breeds, class or sector. Beef Australia actively encourage breed societies to maximise their members involvement to ensure the representation is truly national and work collaboratively with processors on the carcase competition to enhance entries Australia wide.

Another iconic Beef Australia competition is Pitch in the Paddock. It’s where Australia’s next big beef business is born, and sees ag-entrepreneurial innovators and inventors go head-to-head in the pitch of their life, offering entrepreneurial talent the opportunity to present their beef-centric business idea, proof of concept, prototype, or new product to a panel of investors live, on stage, in front of the largest gathering of beef industry stakeholders, influencers, media and consumers in the Southern Hemisphere.

Entries for Beef 2027 Competitions will open from early 2026. Find out the results of Beef 2024’s Competitions below.
