About Us

Our Work

BEAM builds ecosystems of care for Black and historically underserved communities across the United States and beyond. We train, fund, and resource liberation-centered models of mental health and healingĀ  through a national network of therapists, wellness practitioners, organizers, and community leaders.

Our Work Includes:

Training community members to facilitate healing circles and group wellness spaces that provide low barrier care and social support rooted in Afro-Indigenous traditions and practices

Integrating and resourcing a wide range of healers and wellness disciplines, including spiritual leaders, herbal medicine practitioners, Indigenous healers, barbers, stylists, and other trusted community-based care providers into our strategies.

We prioritize communities that face the greatest barriers to care, while affirming that support should be accessible, culturally relevant, and rooted in community.
