Dr. Halida Hanum Akhter, MBBS, MCPS
Chairman
Dr. Akhter is a reproductive health epidemiologist with over 35 years of national and international experience. Dr. Halida Akhter has advocated for improved reproductive health (RH), family planning (FP), and maternal and child health (MCH) services and policies throughout her career. She has led and directed the development and implementation of RH/FP strategies and interventions and advocates globally for successful programmatic interventions, innovations, and results, as well as continued commitment to improving women’s health worldwide. Dr. Akhter provides strategic leadership to promote a global network of RH professionals and oversees the development and documentation of successful and innovative tools.
Dr. Tasnim Azim
Vice Chairman
Dr. Tasnim Azim is the vice chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS). She is a virologist and public health expert with a career spanning over four decades. She earned her MBBS from the University of Dhaka in 1983, followed by a Ph.D. in Immunology/Virology from the University of London in 1989, laying the foundation for her groundbreaking work in infectious diseases.
