About the BDIA

Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association (BDIA) is the organization that promotes leading companies, from the digital infrastructure ecosystem in Belgium.

BDIA demonstrates leadership by facilitating and encouraging members to implement operational improvements in the form of best practices. The BDIA promotes the sector and contributes to technical standards, which enable the data center industry in Belgium and abroad to further distinguish itself.

BDIA promotes Belgium as an international data hub. BDIA also collaborates with market operators, other interested parties. Furthermore, BDIA actively collaborates with European trade associations to strengthen the digital infrastructure industry as a whole.

The board of the association consists of:

Eric Boonstra (Chief Executive Officer – KevlinX)
Friso Haringsma (Managing Director – Datacenter United)
Hans Witdouck (Chief Executive Officer – Eurofiber Belgium)
David Louis (Managing Director – Digital Realty Belgium)

Since October 1, 2023, Carole Santens has been appointed Managing Director of the BDIA. In her role, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the association.

The BDIA Partner Program aims to actively promote interaction between data centers and suppliers. The program is intended for quality suppliers of technology and services that focus on data centers in Belgium. With the common goal of promoting a growing data center market.
