Become an ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technician (RULT)

ASTTBC Registered Utility Locator Technicians (RULT) locate underground utilities safely and competently to prevent damage during construction.

Registrants must have a minimum of two years’ work experience, including work on complex locate projects. They must meet occupational competencies as outlined in ASTTBC Bylaws.

The first of its kind in BC, ASTTBC’s utility locator registration is designed to recognize the competencies of locators who work in various industries and to protect the public.
