Who We Are
The Bulgarian Branch Chamber Machine Building (BBCMB) is a non‑profit organization that brings together leading companies in the machine‑building sector. Our mission is to support the development of the industry, protect the interests of our members, and create conditions for a competitive and sustainable business environment.
Founded in 1991, the Chamber today represents manufacturers from all key areas of machine building, including metal‑cutting machines and tools, woodworking machinery, hydraulics, vehicle body manufacturing, food‑processing and refrigeration equipment, agricultural machinery, heavy machinery, automotive production, shipbuilding, foundry technologies, and more. The member companies of BBCMB produce approximately 70% of the machine‑building output in Bulgaria.
What We Do
Representation and Advocacy
BBCMB represents its members before government institutions, employer and trade union organizations, actively participating in the development of policies related to machine building. The Chamber negotiates and signs the Sectoral Collective Labour Agreement and takes part in determining the minimum social security thresholds for the sector.
Business Support
We support companies in their development by providing information, consultations, training, assistance in establishing international contacts, and participation in exhibitions, forums, and trade missions.
International Cooperation
The Chamber maintains active relations with partner organizations abroad and facilitates direct contacts between Bulgarian and international companies.
Sectoral Unions
To ensure better coordination among companies from different branches of machine building, BBCMB hosts specialized unions — for foundry, for vehicle body manufacturing, and for refrigeration and air‑conditioning technology. New unions may be established when there is interest.
How We Are Organized
BBCMB is governed by a General Assembly and a Managing Board of 13 members — executives of leading companies from various machine‑building sectors. The Chairperson is a full‑time position responsible for the Chamber’s operational activities.
