What is BossBarrier?
BossBarrier™ is a two-part waterproofing polymer engineered to seal foundations from the inside at their most vulnerable point—the cold joint where the wall meets the floor. Unlike temporary coatings, it penetrates concrete and chemically reacts to form a permanent vapor barrier inside the wall itself. It’s environmentally friendly, solvent-free, and delivers stronger, smarter protection than traditional materials.
What makes BossBarrier unique?
BossBarrier™ is the only waterproofing product engineered to penetrate concrete pores and react with internal moisture to create a vapor barrier from within. Unlike coatings that can peel or lose adhesion, BossBarrier bonds permanently inside the structure—blocking water, humidity, and vapor for a truly dry basement.
Is BossBarrier better than mechanical waterproofing systems?
Yes. Mechanical systems like drains and sump pumps only manage water after it has entered your basement. BossBarrier™ works proactively by sealing your foundation from within, so water, vapor, and humidity never enter in the first place—protecting your foundation and reducing the risk of mold and mildew.
Is BossBarrier a vapor barrier?
Yes. Many waterproofing products stop liquid water but fail to block water vapor. BossBarrier™ seals both water and vapor, preventing hidden moisture, damp odors, and mold growth. It delivers complete basement protection that most coatings can’t match.
How is BossBarrier superior to other waterproofing coatings?
Traditional coatings rely on surface adhesion, contain water or solvents, and eventually crack or peel. BossBarrier™ penetrates deep into the concrete, forming a permanent chemical and mechanical bond. It protects both walls and floors with a seamless vapor barrier built into the concrete itself.
Where can BossBarrier be used?
BossBarrier™ can be used on porous concrete and cementitious surfaces in basements, crawl spaces, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. It works on both interior and exterior applications—sealing and protecting any structure vulnerable to moisture.
Can BossBarrier be applied to new or old concrete?
Yes. BossBarrier™ can be applied just five days after a new slab is poured, or to concrete that’s decades old. As long as the surface is porous, the product will penetrate and form a permanent vapor barrier, making it ideal for both new builds and restoration projects.
Can BossBarrier be applied over existing coatings?
No. For BossBarrier™ to work properly, existing coatings must be removed so the surface is porous. If the old coating has worn away naturally, BossBarrier can then be applied to create a lasting, internal waterproofing barrier.
