So Penske, the US distributor of Smart cars, is buying Saturn from GM. GM will supply the Aura, Outlook, and Vue for now. They will not be supplying the Saturn Sky roadster. The interesting part of this is that Saturn was created to attract import buyers, but Penske is looking at using the Saturn brand to sell imported Renault-Samsung cars from Korea which are actually based on the Nissan Sentra and Altima and other Nissan platforms. Also, the Sky was sold in Korea under the GM-Daewoo badge. |
