The Balmar app lets you connect, configure and view information from Balmar SmartLink devices. It requires a BlueLink Bluetooth Gateway (SG2-0300) to be installed on the SmartLink Network. See https://balmar.net/sg200-upgrades/ for information about this release.

Version History SG230, SG235, SG240 Only (SG2-0130, SG2-0140 SmartShunts) Fixes bug where an MC-618 connected to the SmartLink network would stop alternator charging - 2.2.2 08/21/2023 This version: Fixes the MC618/MC620 regulator configuration screen issue (on the APP). Provides upgrades SG240 to rev 2.02 fixing the Current scaling and some other minor PGN fields. It also provides and upgrade to the SG230 to rev 2.02 which provides improvements to the NEMA 2000 protocol PGNs. 2.2.1 06/22/2023 This revision allows upgrading SG230 product, SG2-0130 (N2K) as follows from revision 2.00 to firmware revision 2.02 ONLY Do not attempt to upgrade to previous revisions as this can make your device inoperable. (SG230 ONLY) (This App will prohibit upgrading previous revisions prior to 2.00.) Corrects an error in the battery current scaling introduced in revision 2.00 Corrects some NMEA 2K protocol functions. 2.2 05/22/2023 Includes a "display" firmware change (SG200-200) to fix issue with screen going black after button pushed following a power reset. Includes gateway (SG200-300) fix for the intermittent smartlink communications which can result in a lockup condition. Includes and improved "RELION" chemistry which is a firmware change to all Smart Shunt varieties (SG200, SG230, or SG240) 2.1.2 06/29/2022 This release fully supports the SG240/SG230/SG235/SG2-0130 products with Canbus SmartShunts. There are no changes affecting non NMEA 2000 or RV-C SmartShunts. Customers with a SG200 (NON-Canbus) do not need to update to this version, although it will not cause any issues if they do. 2.1.1 04/14/2022 Color Display and App now run concurrently. Improved Initial SoH accuracy for LiFeP04 (lithium) battery chemistry. (MUST re-apply the chemistry) SG230 and SG240 (CAN bus) compatibility. MC-618 Balmar regulator compatibility. Faults now default to OFF. They can be turned on via the Color Display Fixed a bug in the naming of the MC-618 when more than one regulator is on the network 2.1.0 12/22/2021 Includes new Battery Chemistries and security features See https://balmar.net/sg200-upgrades/ for complete release notes. 2.0 04/15/2021 Maintenance release. Fixes issue that could effect voltage and current accuracy, when upgraded to previous release from an earlier release. Product shipped with 2.9.1 Shunt Firmware installed at the factory is unaffected. If you recently upgraded to build 1.5.1 (93) and installed the firmware upgrades in that build, please install this set of firmware. As always, install the BT gateway firmware first. 1.5.2 (95) 07/22/2020 1. Fixed miscalculation of Time Remaining when discharge was less than C/20. 2. Corrected network issue causing APP to lose realtime data after many hours. 3. Improved SoC accuracy when battery is fully charged with very low discharge rate (below 1A) The Chemistries have NOT been updated. You can visit http://www.balmar.net/sg200-upgrades/ for a complete list of all revisions. 1.5.1 05/12/2020 This version includes new, update chemistries. Once you have upgraded all devices, you MUST re-select your chemistry AND reset your battery capacity, to take advantage of the new chemistry improvements. When you do this, all learning will reset. Changes in APP1. Upgrade process up to 8x faster. 2. Demo mode (With static data.) 3. Redesign of the interface. 4. reduced the potential for corrupted data if upgrade process interrupted. Changes in Firmware: 1. Numerous network stability and reliability improvements. 2. Standardized all time remaining "Until" percentages to 50% during discharge, except for LiFePO4, at 20%.Changes in Chemistries ALL: 1. Improved SoC during High-rate discharge over .3C. 2. Faster/more accurate learning for larger battery banks LiFePO4 only: Improved SoC accuracy when idle3/27/2020 1.5 03/26/2020 New Features: 1. Ability to rename devices, visible on both the App and the Color DIsplay. 2. When multiple devices of the same type are on the network, and they have different names, they can now be updated in turn while remaining in-place on the SmartLink network. 3. Improved display of the Firmware upgrade process using two progress bars. Fixes: 1. Preventing a situation where if the chemistry upgrade process were interrupted, device memory could become corrupted. 2. Prevents false voltage faults when upgrading firmware with 24, 48v bank voltages. 3. General network reliability and connectivity improvements 4. Removed voltage faults on Auxiliary voltage leads. 5. The app now prohibits device screen lock while an upgrade is in progress. 1.04 11/15/2019 Minor stability fixes 1.03 09/24/2019 Stability fixes 1.02 09/18/2019 Corrects for erroneous alerts after display update. 1.01 09/15/2019 1.0 09/13/2019
