Do you have any of the following red flags?2026-01-04T02:15:44-07:00

Risk Factors for Cardiovascular Disease:

While comprehensive testing at the Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention Center will give you the most precise assessment of your level of risk, there area number of known risk factors for cardiovascular disease — “red flags” — that may indicate an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, or diabetes:

  • personal or family history of cardiovascular disease
  • personal or family history of heart attack, stroke, or Type 2 diabetes
  • diabetes (risk factor for heart attack and stroke)
  • gestational diabetes
  • elevated cholesterol
  • nicotine use in any form
  • secondary exposure to nicotine use (such as second-hand smoke)
  • psychosocial issues such as depression, anxiety, or stress
  • high blood pressure
  • abdominal obesity
  • sleep problems
  • age (men over 40 and women over 50)
  • gum disease
  • erectile dysfunction
  • rheumatoid arthritis
  • lupus

Any combination of these risk factors for cardiovascular disease may indicate increased risk for heart attack, stroke or diabetes. If you would like a more thorough evaluation of your risk or level of disease, please contact us.

Why BaleDoneen?2025-01-08T18:02:15-07:00

Once you discover that a CURE exists for heart attacks, strokes, type-2 diabetes, dementia and more, how can you NOT offer this to your patients or demand this level of care as a patient!

Why doesn’t my current provider offer these tests?2026-01-04T02:03:31-07:00

Nationally, only about 10% of providers offer these types of advanced tests, and even fewer offer all the tests recommended by BaleDoneen. This approach goes beyond the current standard of care and is often not included in conventional treatment plans, even though these tests are widely available and affordable.

What is the goal of the BaleDoneen Method?2025-01-08T18:03:08-07:00

The goal is to help patients live life to the fullest by ensuring their “healthspan” matches their “lifespan.” This is achieved by identifying and addressing all root causes of arterial inflammation through individualized, genetically guided therapies, which control inflammation and stabilize or regress arterial disease.

How do I get started?2026-01-04T02:16:34-07:00

Start with our free risk assessment. This assessment helps you understand your personal risk and whether working with a BaleDoneen provider might be right for you. Once you learn your risk levels, you can choose to get comprehensive testing and a consult with one of your BaleDoneen Providers through our BaleDoneen telemed program and lastly, we have options for personalized ongoing care that you can explore to continue monitoring your health.

Do I need to already have heart disease to use this method?2026-01-04T02:03:06-07:00

The BaleDoneen Method is designed for prevention. Many patients have no diagnosis when they start but want a clear plan to avoid future problems.

BaleDoneen Telemed Program

What kind of testing is involved?2026-01-04T01:56:22-07:00

We use advanced lab work and imaging to identify hidden risk factors, such as inflammation or arterial plaque. These go beyond what most standard checkups cover.

Are your services covered by insurance?2026-01-04T03:25:36-07:00

Our program is not billed through insurance. We operate on a direct care model so we can focus on prevention, testing, and long term vascular health without insurance restrictions.

If you would like our pricing details, please view our pricing here.

Is there a provider in my area?2026-01-04T02:22:47-07:00

We work with licensed providers across the United States.

Many patients receive care through our telemed program, which allows access to BaleDoneen trained providers regardless of location. Telemedicine works well for most people and includes comprehensive testing and a thorough testing review with a BaleDoneen provider.

If you prefer in person care, let us know your state and we can check provider availability.

I just completed CIMT with CardioRisk. How do I sign up for a review?2026-01-04T03:03:40-07:00

You can schedule a CIMT review directly through our our website. A trained provider will review your findings and discuss next steps with you.

What is the difference between in person and telemedicine care?2026-01-04T03:12:53-07:00

While the care plan and medical decision making are the same, there are a few differences.

Telemedicine visits are conducted securely online. They include history review, test interpretation, treatment planning, and follow ups just as an in person visit would. Most patients find this convenient and effective as the visit can be from the comfort of your own home.

In person visits may include physical exams and local testing depending on the provider. They also include everything offered in the telemed visit as well. Both options follow the same BaleDoneen standards.

BaleDoneen Personalized Ongoing Care

How is this different from my regular doctor’s care?2026-01-04T02:09:11-07:00

Most traditional care focuses on treating symptoms or late-stage disease. We look for early warning signs and target what’s driving disease at the root.

Can I keep seeing my regular doctor?2026-01-04T02:09:49-07:00

The BaleDoneen Method works alongside your existing care. Many patients share results with their primary doctor or specialist.

Is this safe if I’m already on medication?2026-01-04T02:24:52-07:00

We review your full history and work with your current treatments to make sure any recommendations are safe and effective for you.

What do ongoing care services include?2026-01-04T03:11:22-07:00

Ongoing care focuses on long term prevention and risk reduction. This typically includes regular follow up visits, lab and imaging review, medication and supplement guidance, lifestyle planning, and adjustments based on progress over time.

The goal is to prevent first or repeat arterial health events, not just manage numbers. To get started with personalized ongoing care, please click the link.

Can I pause care?2026-01-04T03:55:23-07:00

We recommend ongoing care for at least one year because meaningful vascular changes take time to monitor, adjust, and confirm progress.

The annual fee for this service is $2,700 and includes a 10% discount when paid up front. We also offer month to month care at $250 per month. If you think you may need to pause care at any point, the monthly option is usually the better fit. Labs are extra and are very individualized; however, we typically see lab fees in the range of $60 – $120 per quarter.

If care is paused, we recommend discussing this with your provider so expectations, follow up, and next steps are clear if you decide to resume.

General Questions

I have high blood pressure. What should I do?2026-01-04T03:30:03-07:00

We cannot provide medical advice without a clinical relationship.

If you are experiencing symptoms or have specific health concerns, the best next step is to start with our free arterial health risk assessment to determine your level of risk of a heart attack or stroke event.

If you want to receive comprehensive care, you can register for our BaleDoneen Telemed Program which includes a telemed visit and comprehensive diagnostic testing with one of our certified providers. Your BaleDoneen provider will also review your medical history, labs, and imaging to give guidance that is appropriate for you.

For urgent symptoms, seek immediate medical care.

What is the best diet?2026-01-04T03:27:15-07:00

There is no single diet that works for everyone. Diet recommendations are based on vascular health, inflammation, insulin resistance, genetics, and existing disease. What helps one patient may not help another. That is why BaleDoneen provides personalized care 1:1 with a certified healthcare provider.

During care, a BaleDoneen provider will give individualized guidance based on your test results and risk factors. To get started with your personalized care, you can begin your arterial health journey here.

Do you recommend supplements?2026-01-04T03:38:08-07:00

Sometimes, but only when they are appropriate for you. Supplement guidance is based on your labs, imaging, medical history, and overall risk profile. We do not recommend blanket supplement lists or one size fits all protocols.

If supplements are appropriate, your provider will explain why, how to take them, and how they fit into your overall care plan. Supplements are used to support vascular health, not replace medical care.

After care with your provider, we have an online supplement store where you can purchase the appropriate supplement recommended for you.

Will you change my medications?2026-01-04T03:39:42-07:00

Medication decisions are made carefully and individually.

If medication changes are appropriate, they are discussed with you and handled by your BaleDoneen provider after your comprehensive diagnostic testing has been completed. This may include starting, adjusting, or stopping medications based on risk, response, and safety.

We can also coordinate with your local physician when needed to keep care aligned.

I feel fine but have a family history of heart attacks. What should I do?2026-01-04T03:44:02-07:00

You do not need symptoms to be at risk. With a family history, early testing and prevention can reduce the chance of a first heart attack. Start with our free heart health risk assessment to determine your level of risk, once completed you can determine if speaking 1:1 with a BaleDoneen trained provider makes sense for you.

What should I do if I have chest pain?2026-01-04T03:47:41-07:00

Chest pain can be serious. If you have chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or other urgent symptoms, seek emergency care right away.
Our program is not an emergency service. Our program is designed and proven to prevent the first event or any future events from occurring.

Can you coordinate care with my local provider?2026-01-04T03:48:45-07:00

Yes. With your permission, we can coordinate care with your primary care provider or specialist to share findings, recommendations, and care plans so everyone stays aligned.

What if I have sudden stroke-like symptoms?2026-01-04T03:58:33-07:00

If you think you are having a stroke, call 911 immediately. Sudden symptoms such as face drooping, arm weakness, trouble speaking, vision changes, or a severe headache require emergency care. Do not wait and do not contact BaleDoneen first.

Stroke prevention focuses on artery health before symptoms appear.
The BaleDoneen Method helps identify hidden vascular disease and inflammation early, often before a stroke or heart attack occurs. Care focuses on measuring risk, treating the root causes of artery disease, and reducing the chance of a first or repeat event.

If you are concerned about stroke risk, the best place to start is a clinical evaluation where your history, labs, and imaging can be reviewed and a prevention plan created.

Education

Why isn’t prevention more commonly practiced?2026-01-04T02:33:38-07:00

In our healthcare system today, the vast majority of providers are trained to treat end-stage disease. In the world of cardiology, for example, most cardiologists are interventional cardiologists. This means they have been trained to intervene once arterial disease is causing a serious problem like a heart. attack.  Sadly, this is also referred to as “standard of care”. The BaleDoneen Method aims to prevent the disease and prevent the disease from causing a serious problem!

Is it true that heart attacks, strokes, and type 2 diabetes are preventable?2025-01-08T18:05:28-07:00

Yes, they are preventable! The BaleDoneen Method uses advanced laboratory and imaging tests, along with a personalized assessment, to uncover hidden signs of arterial disease or red flags for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Peer-reviewed studies have shown that this precision-medicine approach can halt, stabilize, and even reverse CVD, helping patients avoid heart attacks and strokes—even if they’ve experienced them before.

Can simple tests identify my risk for heart attack, stroke, or diabetes?2025-01-08T18:05:43-07:00

Yes! Many risks go undetected with standard testing. The BaleDoneen Method uses noninvasive, painless, and inexpensive tests to detect vascular disease and assess its stability. These tests include blood and urine analyses to measure inflammation, which often has causes beyond cholesterol. In fact, about 50% of heart attacks and strokes occur in people with normal cholesterol levels.

What are the two types of care for cardiovascular disease?2026-01-04T02:34:36-07:00
  • End-stage care: This involves emergent interventions after arterial disease has caused serious problems like a heart attack. Most cardiologists are trained as interventional cardiologists, focusing on this reactive approach.
  • Preventative care: This focuses on preventing the disease or its progression. Preventative cardiologists work to avoid or stabilize arterial disease before emergent issues arise. However, preventative cardiology is a less common specialty.
