Welcome to my kitchen! I'm Angela, the foodie and vintage cookbook collector behind Bake It With Love.
My mission is simple: to share my favorite recipes with easy-to-follow instructions that help you create delicious, satisfying food at home. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just picking up a spatula, I'm here to help you bake (and cook!) with confidence."

What started in 2016 as a way for me to stay home with my children has blossomed into a full-blown family affair. 💞 My husband, Ed, has been my greatest inspiration; so much so that he joined me full-time in 2020!
We've always found our best rhythm cooking together, and many of the recipes you see here were born from our shared time at the stove.
That shared love of cooking drove me to create Bake It With Love, a place to save all my recipes. And, of course, to share them!

When I'm not testing new flavors, I'm soaking up life as a mom. My youngest is now 18 and navigating the world with a level of creativity that constantly inspires me (even if her driving still gives me the occasional gray hair!).
Bake It With Love has celebrated its 9th blog anniversary (blogiversary); along the way, we've been joined by some amazing people. Read all about the team here!
I Learned To Cook
My love for the kitchen started on a step stool. As Grandma Janet's (affectionately 'Granny Janny') 👵 official baking assistant, I learned that the best recipes are seasoned with memories.
Today, I treasure her copper cookie cutters and ceramic gingerbread molds as much as the memories themselves. To me, the scent of her oatmeal molasses cookies or warm gingerbread isn't just a recipe; it's the feeling of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with her at Christmastime.
That's the nostalgia I hope to bring to your home!
Bake It With Love
I've been building this online recipe site for almost 10 years now, with over 2000 recipes. Every day, I am thankful for the opportunity it has given me to be a part of my readers' lives.
I am truly humbled by the outpouring of love we receive, and I can't wait to help others build their confidence in the kitchen!
I hope you enjoy the site, the recipes, and photo tutorials and that you feel free to ask any questions about recipe particulars. Ed and I try to respond as quickly as possible during the week, with weekends being spent away from the computer and devoted to quality family time and (weather permitting) some time in the fresh air.
Most Loved Recipes
What I'm Loving Right Now!
Here are some of my quirky, fun facts you might get a kick out of!
Music & Podcasts I'm Listening To
My husband and I are big fans of The 1975, plus, we've recently discovered synth wave music on youtube - it sounds so much like the 80's music from our youth. Check it out! Here's one of our favorite channels, the Midnight.
We love listening to the various topics that Jeremy Scott Fitness shares. Patrick Bet-David is another great variety host that we find entertaining and informative.
Books I Think Are Worth Reading
I just got Back to Basics: A Complete Guide to Traditional Skills, edited by Abigail Gehring. I've been skimming several topics and picking which ones to try!
Other than my homesteading books, I also really enjoy Sci-Fi and have always been a huge fan of the Shannara series by Terry Brooks. My husband introduced me to Dragonlance, which is right up my alley, too.
What I'm Planning For Spring 2026
This is a loaded question! I always have way more projects and ideas than time, but fingers crossed, I can tackle it all.
The garden has thrived for two seasons now and I'm hoping more of my strawberry plants survive the winter. 2025 was such a rainy year that the berry plants grew in leaps and bounds, but produced very few berries.
I have healthy, thriving fruit trees growing and many new bushes (cherry and blueberry), plus TONS of rhubarb that I harvested seeds from for the new year. BUT, we are potentially moving to a new adventure and I may not see all of my work come to fruition - literally, ha!
2026 Cookbook Update
I now have 2 cookbooks out and ready for you to purchase. I hope you grab a copy of my 'favorite family dinners' for your kitchen, or my 'big book of cookies' with 200+ cookie recipes to bake!
2030 Bucket List
I'm a big believer in having something to look forward to. On my radar? Visiting Thailand, where I'd like to stay in an overwater bungalow and then watch a Muay Thai match or two. I'd also LOVE to explore Roman ruins throughout the Mediterranean.
Apparently, you can rent cabins in a wolf preserve in Canada. Watching the wolves in their natural habitat paired with the Northern Lights would be an amazing experience!
