The tall snow piles left behind after the sidewalks had been shoveled were the greatest fun to play in. They were the perfect size for a small raccoon to burrow in, and Bailey took full advantage of his current size to build himself a mock igloo in the large snow mound. His tiny black hands pushed the snow around to widen the inside of the hole, and he pushed his way forward to fit inside.

Bailey’s nose twitched to rid it of a stray bit of snow, his furry coat keeping him from freezing in the snowy enclosure. At his normal human size, he’d never be able to make himself a little igloo like this, at least not big enough to get inside, but as small as he was now, it was perfect.

He had a childlike innocence about him, but had caution enough to know that he had to keep away from humans when he looked like this – he knew raccoons were thought of as vermin by many, and the last thing he wanted was to be whacked by a snow shovel while he was trying to play.

After work today, I decided to get something sweet for both days of the weekend. But I can't decide which one I want to eat first.

Okay, here's what I've got:

A pumpkin cupcake with maple icing and pecans on top

It's a dilemma :(

The Twitter thing has been broke for a while now which is why I haven't said anything lately. I'll have to find another app that does the same thing eventually. Oh, well! Until then I can just type here.

I'm really excited! I get to see Nightmare of You at the Mercury Lounge on Friday night. But I'm always carded when I go to 21+ shows. I think it's impossible for me to look my age since I'm shorter than most guys. Anyway, it'll be really fun. I haven't gone to a concert in a couple weeks.

I saw this online a few days ago. 'Raccoons are the most commonly reported rabid animals in New York City.' :( Rabies is so depressing. When a raccoon's got it, I can't talk to him. I mean, I can, but it's like... he's so sick that he doesn't understand.

I'm kind of nervous to apply for this. I've never really had an interview before and the last time I took a test was way back in high school. Besides, I don't really have anyone that would recommend me. I mean, my boss likes me but I don't bring animals into the shop so he doesn't know how I am with them. I guess I don't need a license. I'm just kind of scared one of these days I'll get in trouble. I guess I should just try to be as careful as possible.

Anyway, I didn't mean to be depressing... I guess I'm just tired. I was working on this grandfather clock today and it was just frustrating. The pendulum is off time and I adjusted the weights a bunch of times and I still can't get it exactly right. When I finally left work it was still like... fifty eight seconds for every real minute. I'll mess with it more tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it fixed :(

Oh, yeah, I like doing that! Though I guess I try not to, because some people don't really like it. And there's nothing worse than being excited enough to hug someone and then getting a disgusted look and told to go away :(

I just like touching everything. I'd be really unhappy without my sense of touch.

But I know some people aren't like that, so... I don't want to make people mad. Sometimes I think I get too close to people by misinterpreting things they say. Maybe I'm just too hopeful or too affectionate or something. I don't know, I just like people :)
