Saturday was extremely uneventful. I moped around the house and went to work at 5, and I didn't get off until midnight because on Saturday nights everyone likes to go shopping and rummage through clothing. One woman tried on every single one of the Perfect Shirts that we had up on display and didn't buy a single one, & she had the audacity to leave them in the fitting room. The rack outside of the fitting rooms has a distinct purpose -- it's to make my job easier. But, alas, it's okay because I worked quite awhile last night which makes up for the fact that I'm not scheduled until I get back from Cancun. I'm praying that someone will want to give me their shift so I can take over.
Today was enjoyable. I woke up at the ungodly hour of 8:30 am and left with Dave's mom for church. I'm becoming more and more comfortable there, and my intense dislike of it is slowly deteriorating. However, i still cannot stand the worship music. It's so cheesy. Any church who uses electric drums should be cited.
The Sunday School kids were wild today, we didn't finish our entire lesson because today was some kind of special service. We started off with a Cheetos gig. The children were to put a shower cap on their head and have it wrapped in duct tape, and then when I said, Go, they were to put the cheetos on the kid with the duct tape head and make a head of cheetos. The lesson today was about temptation, and the kids were instructed not to eat the cheetos.
Unfortunately, we had all of the kids, which were like 30 of them, and they were wild. The group Dave's mom and I are teaching consists of ten K-2nd graders, but we had all the older kids. They were the noisy ones. Anyway, I was told next week will be easier because we'll have our actual age group. What was not easy was having Ryan walk in today to help and then proceed to WRAP ME UP IN DUCT TAPE. All the children laughed at me, and then two little boys emulated Ryan's scheme.
After church, I went to Dave's house, took a nap, came home, showered, and went with Dave's mom, her fiance, and Darren to see The Producers. Best musical I've ever seen, I don't know if I should cross the line and say it was better than The Lion King, but probably not. Okay, it was the 2nd best musical I've ever seen. Mel Brooks is a genius, and I love the satire. It's springtime for Hitler...
Ah. I deleted a lot of what I was going to say. I'll save it for the paper journal.
