About the Axxess Hackathon 2026

The Axxess Hackathon is a 30-hour weekend event focusing on Healthcare Innovation. This event encourages students to be innovative and think creatively through multiple challenges. Student attendees form teams of up to four members and work on a select challenge. Students are encouraged to build apps, propose new technology approaches and more. Students at all levels and all majors are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The world is run by cross disciplinary teams and students from different backgrounds can find great success through collaboration.

What's the Purpose?

Support student experiential learning focusing on Healthcare Innovation. Students will develop CS and non-CS student skills through hacking challenges. It is great practice to work in teams to tackle a problem at this event, as you would as a full-time employee after graduation. Students also have the opportunity to network with company contacts, learn through workshops and showcase their ideas developed throughout the event.

Why attend the Axxess Hackathon?

The Axxess Hackathon is an opportunity to learn more about the Healthcare Industry and dive into ideas to improve the delivery, data capture, or efficiency of care. Everyone is impacted by our health. The vast healthcare industry is an aggregation and integration of sectors within the economic system that provides goods and services to treat patients with curative, preventive, rehabilitative, and palliative care.
