Project and Submission Requirements

Submit an written description of your idea.

Record a video presentation for a demo video of your presentation upto 5 minutes.

Explain your project architecture and what AWS tools you are going to use.

Projects will be judged on the following criteria, outlined here.

Submissions open on Friday, October 3rd at 9:00 PM and are due on Sunday, October 5th at 8:00 AM PST.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible to win a prize, your team and project must follow all these guidelines:

  1. All members of your team must have checked in to the hackathon (up to 4 people maximum)
  2. All building must have taken place during hacking hours (October 3rd 6:00 PM to October 5th 8:00 AM).

Note: ideation and planning are allowed (and encouraged) before the hackathon, but all coding/building must take place during hacking hours

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection

Technical Execution (50%): Quality of the code, system architecture, and effective use of an appropriate tech stack.

Innovation & Creativity (20%): Originality of the idea, novel application, and creative approach to problem-solving.

Use of AWS Technologies (10%): Appropriate selection and effective implementation of AWS services to achieve project goals.

Functionality (10%): The project is functional, stable during the demo, and successfully accomplishes its core purpose.

Demo Presentation (5%): Clarity, structure, and effectiveness of the presentation in communicating the project's purpose, function, and value.
