ART's Scholarship Program

Our Priorities & Intentions

We value making our courses accessible to as many people as possible, and we recognise that financial investment can sometimes be a barrier. Our Scholarship Program exists to support people who may otherwise be unable to participate, enabling us to share our life-changing work with individuals from a wide range of financial situations.

Scholarships are awarded based on our standard course prices so we can support as many people as possible. They cannot be combined with early-bird discounts or other promotional offers. If you qualify for multiple discounts, please choose the option that offers the greatest support for your circumstances. We are unable to provide scholarships for places that are sponsored or funded by an employer.

Scholarship Priorities
Our scholarships are designed for people who would be unable to participate without financial support. We give priority to applicants who experience one or more of the following:

  • Systemic or historical disadvantage: e.g., belonging to a people who have faced discrimination or marginalisation; living in the Global South or in areas with fewer economic opportunities.
  • Low or fixed income, including senior citizens on limited pensions, people supporting children or other dependents, or those receiving public assistance.
  • Significant financial strain due to life circumstances outside of their control, such as major medical expenses not covered by insurance, inability to work due to illness or injury, immigration-related costs, or costs related to re-entering society after incarceration and/or homelessness

Impact & Access
We are also committed to supporting individuals who are actively contributing to positive change in the world – whether through social justice work, community leadership, mutual aid, education, or other forms of service that uplift those who are less privileged.

We hold a genuine desire to see authentic relating practices reach communities and contexts where they are most needed, and to support people who may not otherwise have access to this work. This includes, for example, those working with or within under-resourced communities, such as underserved youth, grassroots organisers, or initiatives in regions with limited access to personal development spaces.

Geographical Priority

As part of our commitment to accessibility and equity, scholarship priority is given to applicants who are currently based in, or geographically close to, the country where the course takes place.

Our scholarships are not intended to offset international travel costs.

A note for those with financial security
If you have high or stable income, own property, have substantial savings,  access to generational wealth or other financial safety nets, we ask that you consider leaving these scholarships for those with fewer resources. If you can comfortably afford the full fee, we warmly invite you to register without applying for scholarship support, helping us extend these opportunities to those who cannot.

Level 1 and Level 2

  • Scholarships are considered upon application via our Level 1 & 2 Scholarship Application form.
  • We offer two scholarship seats per course that are available at 50% discount on the full course price.
  • Scholarship offers are valid for 48 hours. After this time, if the Scholarship offer has not been used, it may be offered to someone else.
  • Receiving a scholarship for Level 1 does not guarantee a scholarship for higher levels. Decisions for each level are made independently, based on available funds, the number of applicants, and individual circumstances at the time of application.

Level 3

  • Only people who have been accepted to the Level 3 Training through the application process will be considered for a Scholarship. Before submitting your application for scholarship, please ensure you have also submitted a Level 3 Application Form
  • Scholarships applications are considered on a rolling basis. Should we have a high number of applications for financial aid, we may close applications. We advise you to apply early
  • We receive a high number of applications for financial support. Any offers must be accepted within one week by the payment of a deposit. If Scholarship offers have not been accepted by a payment within this period, any Scholarship funds offered may be withdrawn and offered to someone else in need of financial support.
  • All payments are subject to our Level 3 Cancellation Policy.
  • Please Note: Any scholarships will be partial scholarships – i.e. we are only able to offer a reduced rate rather than a full bursary for the course. Scholarships awarded will be dependent on level of scholarship funds which will vary by program.
