Austin Allen is the author of The Travels of Blad J. Garamond (Measure Press) and Pleasures of the Game (Waywiser Books), winner of the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, Ploughshares, The Yale Review, The Sewanee Review, Smartish Pace, and other publications. His essays have recently appeared via The Hopkins Review, Poetry Foundation, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. He has taught creative writing at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Cincinnati, and Emerson College.
