Augmentors was one of the first blockchain-based games with the idea that users could own their digital assets. Fortunately, NFT standards and usage, blockchain gaming and play-to-earn economies have matured since Augmentors launched in 2017. 

The Augmentors project was launched to enable original game supporters who bought Databits and/or a limited number of creatures in various classes, ranging from Champion to God, to potentially recover some of their original contributions to the project.

Previous contributors can own a piece of this digital history with a stake in a smart contract and creature NFTs that are now Solana-based collectibles with provenance all the way back to 2017 on Counterparty.
