“Happiness? The color of it must be spring green.” —Frances Mayes
Ah spring! It is one of my favorite times of the year. Is it yours too? If so, you will find lots of interesting things to see and do in this spring issue.
Our featured homes are perfection. The home on Paris Mountain, known as Kanuga Overlook (kanuga is a Cherokee word for “gathering place”), is unique both inside and out, with a gorgeous landscape. The home in Hollingsworth Park is traditional and timeless, thanks to interior designer Caroline Brackett. An Augusta Road area home, called Project Boysenberry by interior designer Kathleen Reynolds, became a happy haven for a family of four. And our new feature, Room by Room, will guide us on how a portion of a house can be beautifully changed and made very useful.
I had a delightful visit to the Katelyn Pinner Studio in Travelers Rest. There are lovely home items in the adjacent shop, Urban Hare, and beautiful floral arrangements. Pay a visit after you’ve seen more of Katelyn’s work in our In the Garden article.
Are you looking for a few paintings to decorate your home? Don’t miss Composition with the work of Judy Verhoeven, a master of unique art. Look for some interesting books to read in Bookshelf, find some yummy ideas for how to use herbs in Pantry, and meet some women in Profile who are strong influencers.
Enjoy a wonderful spring and look forward to an always-welcome summer.
