Sleek style for maximum impact

When creating this mixed-use community in Silver Spring, Maryland, the goal was to help guests and residents “find your center.” Ashton helped them do just that by designing all project signage, creating a design criteria for exterior tenant storefronts, and compiling a comprehensive wayfinding plan.

The signature “bent” sign catches guests’ eyes in the lobby. Its unique shape mirrors by a prominent feature  building’s façade that similarly wraps around a corner.

Room signage also takes cues from the building’s geometric, exterior features. Framed layers of translucent acrylic enhance the bold, contemporary feel.

Playing with scale allowed us to create moments of surprise and renew visual interest as visitors move throughout the space.

We also introduced wall murals in key amenities spaces—just for fun. The crisp, illustrative style  matches Central’s bold aesthetic while imparting a warm sense of humor.
