2. I've finally learned the basic rules of football.

4. My sister got married to her long-term boyfriend this summer.

5. I gave in and got a manicure/pedicure and now i'm hooked.

So it seems that i accidently stumbled into the position of co-champion in the national championship for the Kevin and Kell roleplaying game championship. Thank you Steven for recommending I give the game a try.

Otherwise sales went well, and I played a lot of LARP (as that was the evening tabletops were generally filled up. That's cool though, got to experiment with various genres. Delerium (contemporary fantasy), Cyberpunk, Mafia, and Toon to be precise.

Just got the word that a buddy who vends jewlery had one of his "booth babes" bail on him on short notice for an event. So it seems that i'll be at Dexcon this weekend. If and of my friends are going, please, do tell. Anyway, sorry I've been neglectful of my LJ account. I'll try to keep it updated.

I'm getting to see some of the quirky christian customs leading up to Christmas from a closer vista this year. Paul is eager to share his family traditions with me. I never realized how important the non-Jesus-centric parts of Christmas were to people's comfort. In our house growing up Hanukkah just....propelled itself forward. You took out the menohrah, polished it an used toothpicks to scrape any of the wax that you'd forgotten to get last year. As soon as someone started to say the first prayer it would all come back to you, although you hadn't remembered it 5 minutes before. You didn't anticipate so much as plan around those nights; homework, TV, Ritual, more TV, dinner, bedtime. I just always assumed it was similar for kids who celebrated Christmas, except for the far superior gift-recieval.
