Here I was thinking that not much happened in 2010, but once I started writing this list, I realized a whole lot happened this year, so following other people's leads, I wanted to do a year in review with pictures.
( Warning Very Image Heavy (and lots of goofy faces)Collapse )While most of my memories of 2010 are positive, there were a few really tough times as well, especially toward the end. What I did realize is that I'm surrounded by some wonderful people and need to hang out with more of them this coming year. I didn't spend nearly enough time in costumes. I did however, travel the most I ever have up until this point, including going to two countries. Mostly I learned to cherish the relationships and experiences in my life and would love to focus on that more as I move forward. I have big plans for the next year and decade, so lets see how things pan out :)

Thanks to those of you who commented on my last painting. Seems like the art bug has bitten me hard and I'm going to ride it for as long as I can. I have a cool project I'm going to be working on, but since I already had the paints mixed for this painting, I decided to work on it all today.
This one is a bit smaller than the last, so I had to rely on colored pencils to give me some of the detail I needed. Also, I normally just do hair with paper, but since it looked a little odd on just the hair, I decided to extend the paper to her entire outfit. Hope you guys like it!

I will sketch for the first five people who comment with their request. Simple sketches only.
The catch is that you must put this up in your journal as well. If you absolutely do not draw, go for drabbles, etc.
I'm not enforcing the drawing/drabbling part if you don't have time. Also, these will probably be pencil sketches scanned in.
Second, there a popular art meme that has gone around called the 100 picture challenge where you're supposed to create an image for each word or idea. Usually there is a preset word list, but I thought it would be more fun people would suggest some words or ideas they wanted to see. Over the next year I plan on creating as many of these as I can if not all. So post away with suggestions, anything you want(and as many)! I'll be updating the list as the suggestions come in until I reach 100.
