ArcSoft TV is a straightforward television viewing and recording app that turns your computer and a compatible TV tuner into a personal TV hub. It lets you scan for channels, browse an on-screen program guide (where available), pause and rewind live broadcasts with time-shifting, and schedule recordings so you never miss a show.

Key features:

  • Live TV playback with channel scanning for supported broadcast standards (hardware and region dependent)
  • Time-shifting to pause, rewind, and resume live TV
  • Program guide integration with one-click recording/scheduling where available
  • Recording management with simple storage controls
  • Closed captions/subtitles and aspect‑ratio options
  • Remote control support for many tuner remotes
  • Clean, full‑screen interface for couch-friendly viewing

Notes:

  • Requires a compatible TV tuner and signal source. Feature availability may vary based on hardware, drivers, and local standards (e.g., ATSC, DVB-T/T2, ISDB-T).
  • Program guide and advanced recording options may depend on regional support or third‑party services.

ArcSoft 5'0 gave me access to NZ Freeview TV with no problems.
I was delighted. I could watch Aljazeera on my PC in my study while my wife watched Coronation St in the Lounge on the main Tele.
But ArcSoft have upgraded to a ghastly substitute - I can get ?TV visuals without sound only. No possibility of sound. Hopeless.

This is the worst TV software I have ever used. It came with an ASUS all in one PC. It crashes regularly and I have to re-tune every few days. Before this PC, I had an ACER Z5700 all in one. The tuner and software were fantastic. I regret upgrading to this junk.

Should I start to get junk emails due to giving an honest opinion I will be very upset.
