Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Course
Virtual/Blended Options
- Dates: Next Available Course: December 2
- Site: Virtual/Blended Course. 7 hours or pre-course on-line work that must be completed prior to the virtual course date. Then, 1/2 day of the course live via zoom followed by the exam that is proctored on-line on zoom as well.
- Room: Via Zoom
- Fees: $400 – Fee includes the AFO Manual, on-line educational course work, 1/2 day of virtual course, exam and certification (for those with a passing exam grade) – a portion of the fee is donated to AOAP.

- Registration Options: Download the Registration form and submit with a check (must be received at least 3 weeks prior to course start date), or, email Juliene Hefter to ask to be invoiced and pay via credit card.
NOTE: You must be registered and paid at least 2 weeks prior to the course in order to receive the manual and be able to complete the on-line 7 hour portion prior to the course date. Email Juliene Hefter at juliene@aquaticpros.org if you have any questions.
Description
The National Recreation and Park Association offers the premier certification program in swimming pool operations, the Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification. The AFO program provides the most comprehensive and up-to date training for pool operators and includes information on water chemistry, disinfection, mechanical systems, operations, healthy pools and safety.
