We are Apple Scoop
Built in early 2020 to deliver tech news that’s faster, more reliable, and more beautiful.
Apple Scoop was built from the ground up to be fast, secure, and modern. Launched in early 2020, our team created this website with the belief that tech news should be delivered in a better, more reliable, and importantly—in a more visually appealing way.
Nearly five years after our founding, Apple Scoop continues to thrive because there is significant demand for a website that reflects the quality of the technology it covers. For Apple fans around the world, our commitment to beauty, reliability, and functionality is essential, and we have dedicated the past five years to achieving this goal.

- November 15: Housekeeping. Some general housekeeping, bug fixes, and other small bits. We're still testing the results of our recent updates to the Apple Scoop codebase.
- October 21: How To. Learn how to set your wallpaper on every device, operating system, and browser using our new Set Your Wallpaper feature.
- October 20: Short Update Pause. We are temporarily pausing major codebase updates to existing Apple Scoop pages while we analyze how our users are using our latest features. Expect new codebase updates within 1-2 weeks. Important security & bug patches, along with brand new pages, will still be completed during this time.
- October 17: New Download Button. We've implimented a new Download Button on our Wallpapers to improve the Wallpapers experience for most users. We are aware of a few small bugs on certain devices, and we are working on a fix for those.
- October 12: Wallpapers Pro. Wallpapers Pro has been upgraded with new features and stability improvements. As of today, you can now 'search' for premium wallpapers the same way you can with the free version — but with extra pro sorting and filtering options, including the ability to sort by file size, resolution, device type, and more. Due to the size of these premium wallpapers, page-load time has always been an issue on Pro. With the latest updates we have just published, we have made significant advancements towards speeding up load times without sacrificing file size and quality. Similar updates to our Max subscription will follow soon.
- October 10: Wallpapers. Updates to all Wallpaper Pack tiers including Air, Pro and Max. We've added hundreds of extra wallpapers for the same great prices. Wallpaper Packs have now been made a permenant offering on Apple Scoop. Further updates to follow. These updates are available to new & existing customers alike.
- October 7: Bug Fixes. We've applied a ton of bug fixes and design improvements.
- October 5: AI Wallpaper Creator (Version 2.5). We've upgraded our AI Wallpaper Generator to Version 2.5. This new version features much better wallpaper compatibility with a wider range of devices and brands, including all major Apple products, Android, and PC. Additional security, safety and anti-abuse controls have been added, along with several tweaks to our AI Theme Engine based on user feedback. Over 1,000 wallpapers are being created every single week by our users & readers.
- October 4: Upgraded! From today onward, all Articles and Instant Stories on applescoop.org will officially switch to .webp files for cover images and inline images. These updates will drastically improve speeds and page-loading times across our site without any noticeable change to our readers. Expect this to take several weeks or months to start showing real, noticeable improvements in speed. Additionally, today we fixed a small bug on our homepage that began on September 28 affecting articles loaded via Infinite Scroll (when you scroll down on the homepage) — if you're trying to read older articles on applescoop.org, you'll no longer be shown an error. Finally, we fixed an error which caused Related Stories to display incorrectly.
- October 3: Old, But New. We've upgraded our Instant Reply Comments section across all of our articles to be faster, less clunky, and WAY more secure. Additionally, users can now also comment on Wallpapers. Keeping our iconic no-account one tap design, adding comments to Apple Scoop has never been easier. Additionally, we have strengthened the security of our Contact Us forms including all of its sub-pages: advertising, tips, feedback, join the team, site/copyright issues.
- October 2: Small Tweaks. Some small design changes & upgrades applied.
- September 29: Bug Fixes. We've patched some important bugs in our various search pages.
- September 28: Instant Stories. We've revamped our iconic Instant Stories design on applescoop.org — now faster, prettier and more efficent than ever before. Additionally, you can now share Instant Stories Ad-Free links (e.g. applescoop.org/instant/story-url) — and the Back button in your browser works to close Instant Stories as you would expect. At Apple Scoop, we prioritize form and function over ad revenue — it's important for us to enable Ad-Free Reading for our biggest readers and fans. These updates will roll out gradually over the next few days. The team is monitoring usage — further updates/bug fixes are expected.
- September 25: Max. Several updates and bug fixes have been applied to Wallpapers Max. Thank you to our new subscribers! We hope you are enjoying the service so far.
